How to talk to your young child about death, loss and grief Death is a topic that we sometimes struggle to talk about as adults, so how are we meant to approach it with young children? We chatted to Nicola Creaser from Child Bereavement UK to get her tips on where to start this difficult conversation.

I won’t ever forget the day I had the honour of taking some of our Little Rainbows to watch her Royal Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, drive past in our town. It was a special day and we waved with such pride ❤️ Very sad to hear of her passing. She was an inspiration to all generations x

It is with a very heavy heart that we have had to say goodbye to our beloved Marley this evening. He has always been adored by all of our Little Rainbows and has always been such a gentle soul. I know he will be greatly missed by all of us ❤️ xx

Children are wired to PLAY....it's the adults who need to be educated as much as possible. We have to find ways to help others understand the absolute necessity of TRULY child-led play.

Tuesdays are playgroup days and we are lucky enough to have a very lovely local playgroup near by, run by some wonderful ladies which gives our Little rainbows the opportunities to build on their personal, social and emotional development whilst making new friends, learning when to be patient, building the confidence to explore the environment a distance away from their care giver and of course have fun ! But we also had to make the most of the sun shining and enjoying being outdoors, so after playgroup this morning, we took a little wander along our local field for some train spotting and exploring. Not to mention the joy we take from being able to run in an open space safely and freely without a care in the world !
