The Red Team have been celebrating Queen Elizabethβs Jubilee in the woodland. We made red, white and blue Jubilee bunting to hang from our trees, we made beautiful crowns from goose grass and natural foraged treasures. We enjoyed sharing a celebration cake and went on a mini beast hunt. We have had a fabulous time. βοΈπ¬π§πβοΈπ¬π§πβοΈπ¬π§π

This week at Forest School we have been celebrating the Queens Jubilee π΄βͺοΈπ΅π¬π§πΈπΌ We went on a hunt for faces of the Queen which were hiding in the woodland. Then we looked for natural materials to decorate our own woodland crown, some children used goose grass for their crowns. At snack time we enjoyed scones with butter and jam with some juicy strawberries π¬π§

Negate β If an abstract solution to a problem seems right, negate what others may think you should do. Life is not predictable and one size does not fit all. Remember, you are unique and so is your life. A unique solution can sometimes be in order.

This week at Forest School the children have been really busy creating skeletons using sticks and natural materials on the forest floor. This was inspired from our story of the week βdigger dogβ. We have tested ourselves this week by climbing the trees, doing some big digging in the mud pie kitchen, watered our allotment beds and also learnt the safety rules and how to be sensible when we have our tools out. Well done Blue Team ππΌππ³πΏπͺ΄

The Red Team have explored the story Digger Dog. We focused on 2 sounds( phonemes) d for digger dog, digging and diggers, and p for planting and potatoes. We also found dddd daffodils that needed dead heading and ddd dandelion clocks that just had to be blown to disperse the seeds !!! We challenged ourselves to jump high from the jumping station and to climb up into the climbing tree. Eddie the therapy dog also came to visit, he likes digging too β¦. We have had a fabulous time. βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈπ³π³π³π³π³π³
