Have you updated your DBS's for volunteers - the law has changed from TODAY!

Change to the definition of regulated activity with children from 1st September 2026 - Regulated Activity Mythbuster (DfE)

From the 1st September 2026, most regular volunteers in schools/clubs will need to have a children's bard list check. This is due to a change in the law which removes the supervision exception.

📣 OUT OF OFFICE REMINDER 📆

Just a little reminder that we are currently OUT OF OFFICE and enjoying some much-needed time away! ☀️

Most of our Facebook posts have been scheduled in advance, so although you’ll still see us popping up on your feed, we’re not actually behind the screen! 😊

We have a lovely admin team who are part time supporting , however that’s it 💻

While we’re away, we have very limited access to Wi-Fi, emails and messages, so responses may take a little longer than usual.

STA UPSKILL

We recently had the pleasure of upskilling an amazing group of teachers! 🏊‍♀️👏

A massive shout-out to everyone who took part, and a huge thank you to our fantastic volunteer swimmers who helped bring the practical sessions to life.

We’re also incredibly grateful to the supporting leisure centre for providing the facilities we needed to develop and practise those all-important diving skills.

A brilliant team effort all round — passionate teachers, willing volunteers and fantastic support from the venue. Thank you! 💙
