Partou Field View Day Nursery and Pre-school, Alfreton

Following on from the lovely gift that Partou Arnold Day Nursery and Pre-school gave to our nursery the preschool children have become interested in Robin Hood listening to stories and using their imagination in role-play ideas. The Children asked the staff in the preschool room if they could please make a tree like Robin Hood's so the staff has been hard at work with the children and they have turned our construction area into Robin Hood's hideout, the children have even drawn their characters so we can have regular puppet shows. The children have loved this corner and have been playing independently and with their peers using their imagination to act out different role-play ideas, so thank you again Partou Arnold Day Nursery and Pre-school

In honour of Apprentice Appreciation Week, I would like you to join me in honouring our apprentices.
First, we have Jess who has almost completed her level 3 qualification, Jess works in the preschool room and is our master chef as she often does baking with the children.
We have Grace who is about halfway through completing her Level 2 Qualification, Grace currently works in the baby room and can often be heard channelling her inner Mariah and singing with the children.
We have Sarah who is roughly a quarter of a way through her Level 2 Qualification she works in our rising 2's room and can often be seen getting into character and reading lots of exciting stories to the children.

We truly are blessed to have such amazing apprentices we truly appreciate all the hard work each of you do.

So today we received our wonderful parcel from for friendship day, thank you so much for our wonderful gifts, the children love the Robin Hood book and hats, and can't wait to take home a friendship bracelet.

To celebrate National Friendship Day on Friday, February 7th, we sent special cards to our friends at our sister nursery . We made a special card of all the fun and exciting things that you can do in Derbyshire, and the children even painted a canvas of our beautiful countryside. We can't wait to see what they think of their parcel, and we look forward to opening our special parcel, too.

The babies have had an abundance of enjoyment in the year 2024, engaging in creative activities and encountering a variety of different textures during their playtimes. They absolutely adore venturing into the great outdoors, relishing the opportunity to become delightfully messy. We are eagerly anticipating the creation of many more cherished memories in the year 2025.

Here are some cherished memories of what the Pre-School children have been engaging in throughout the year 2024. They have greatly enjoyed the challenge of pushing themselves physically, as well as acquiring new knowledge about the world around us through a variety of exciting experiments. We have been diligently utilising our different senses, all while indulging in an abundance of creative and messy fun. We eagerly anticipate more opportunities to learn through play and exploration in the year 2025.

Here are some of the remarkable activities undertaken by the Rising 2's room in 2024. The children have had an immense amount of fun this past year, engaging their creative minds and indulging their curiosity. We eagerly anticipate organising many more enjoyable and thrilling activities in 2025. Merry Christmas.🎄

Good morning we have a wonderful lady coming to nursery on Tuesday 23rd July to talk to the children about being visually impaired, in honour of this we are raising money for the guide dogs by holding a tombola with some wonderful gifts such as a little pamper set, bubbles for the children and lots of other fun items you can win, we also have a game of guess the name. If you would like to join in with the fun and purchase some tickets or even have a turn at guessing the name of the teddy then please speak to myself or a member of the team.
