Feeling grateful for the group of students I have worked with this year. They have worked so hard, engaged in sessions and taken on feedback. It has been a real pleasure to work with such a great bunch- and I’m really rooting for each of them!
Time for a short break on the GCSE tuition front before I start marking the exams!

A little advice for those supporting students starting their exams: last-minute revision can help; but cramming without breaks doesn’t.
Now’s the time to listen to podcasts, watch videos, recap quotes, read the flash cards, mind map an answer… by all means mix it up, do what you prefer…
BUT… don’t write endless exam responses the day before an exam because you’ll get fatigued. And DON’T DO ALL of the above- do what’s manageable and what you can cope with.
If your child or someone you know is cramming for their exams: encourage a break and get some fresh air with them. Walk off that exam stress! Being healthy (sleeping, eating, giving your brain a rest!) is more important: balance is everything and will increase your chance of success. Nobody writes a good answer if they’re exhausted.
