We are very fortunate to be able to grow our own fruit and vegetables in our forest schools sites. This term with baking Betty we have harvested some parsley making some delicious parsley and chives potato salad which we enjoyed for our snack time. We also harvested some summer fruits which included raspberries, strawberries and red currents. The children collaborated together baking a delicious summer fruit cake using the fruits they had picked. 🥣👩🏻‍🍳🍰🍓🌿🥔

The Earth Elves 🧝‍♀️ 🧝 have had a fabulous term in Forest Schools .
We have been busy digging over our raised beds and planting seeds. This week we have been buzzing 🐝 about celebrating World bee day, and making bee. Wow well done everyone 😀

Our role play area is a cosy cottage with lots of treasures for the children to explore. We have a beautiful embroidered tablecloth, candelabras, old pots and pans, for a trip into the past with energy saving light bulbs, a phone and modern kitchen to provide a contrast. This experience supports our Reggio Emilia approach in school and has enhanced the conversations and questions with our little friends about all things old and new. Do you have any antique treasures in your home to explore?
