We have absolutely loved welcoming the Class of 2026/27 and getting to know all our wonderful new children and their families.

Did you know that Alford Preschool is now a registered provider with the Government's Tax Free Childcare scheme?

If you're eligible, you can use your Tax Free Childcare account to help pay for your child's preschool fees.

For every £8 you pay into your account, the Government adds £2 (up to the annual limit), making childcare more affordable for families.

This funding can also be used to cover hours outside of your child's funded entitlement.

If you'd like to find out whether you're eligible, visit: https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare

We'd like to say a huge thank you to Gravitate North East and Early Rider for their incredibly generous donation of balance bikes to Preschool.

Jackie and the team were absolutely delighted to receive them just before the end of term, and we know they'll provide hours of fun, adventure and learning when the children return after the holidays.

Opportunities like this help encourage outdoor play, build confidence and develop balance and coordination...all while having fun of course! 🌈

Thank you for helping create even more exciting play opportunities for our little learners. 🚴‍♀️

We were so delighted to welcome Leanne from KIDS ROCK - Music, Story, Imagination into preschool before the summer holidays! 🎸🎶

The children had the best time singing, dancing and joining in with all the fun... and, of course, Preschool Bear couldn't resist getting involved too! 🧸

A huge thank you to Leanne for such a fantastic session. It was the perfect way to end the term with lots of smiles (and plenty of rocking!).

We can't believe how quickly this term has flown by, and we're so excited to hear about all the adventures our little ones will be having over the summer.

During the summer months, we love making the most of the wonderful green spaces we have right on our doorstep. ☀️

One of our favourite places to visit is Haughton Park. We love exploring nature and enjoying fresh air! It also helps develop physical skills and encourages imaginative play... outdoor adventures offer so many learning opportunities for little ones.

We are incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic community resource nearby, and our children always enjoy their visits.
