Y12 Students present ideas to NHS: Following their success in the NHS Challenge, our Y12 students were invited to meet with the NHS Executive Board to present their project. As part of their day they were given a fascinating tour of the hospital's diagnostic facilities, including the CT and MRI scanners, providing them with a valuable insight into the technology used in modern healthcare.

Their presentation was received by a panel of NHS executives and medical professionals. The feedback was incredibly positive and the panel praised their idea suggesting the exciting possibility of working with IT specialists in the future to develop a mock-up of their concept and explore how it could be implemented within our local area - and perhaps, one day, even nationally. This experience gave our students an invaluable insight into medical innovation, scientific investigation and the process of developing new services that could benefit the public. Congratulations to them both on what is an outstanding achievement!

Our students would like to thank everyone who took the time to complete their questionnaire which played a vital role in shaping their project.

School Community Comes Together for Charity: On Tuesday afternoon, our school playing fields were transformed into a vibrant display of colour as students took part in a charity Colour Run organised by our Student Leadership Team in support of the National Autistic Society. Together, we raised over Β£700 for this worthwhile cause. The laughter and excitement that echoed across the playing fields were a testament to the fun enjoyed by everyone who took part. A huge well done to our Student Leadership Team for organising such a fantastic event, and thank you to all the students and families whose generosity and enthusiasm helped raise much-needed funds for such a deserving charity.

Year 10 Work Experience: A huge thank you to all the employers, organisations, and businesses who hosted our Year 10 students for work experience in June.

Your support gave our students valuable insight into the world of work and helped them develop their skills, confidence, and aspirations for the future. We are incredibly grateful for the time and opportunities you provided.

Well done to all of our Year 10 students, who represented themselves and the school so positively throughout their placements. We are very proud of the maturity, enthusiasm, and professionalism they demonstrated.

As we look ahead to next year, we would love to hear from any employers who may be interested in offering a work experience placement. If you can help support a student on their career journey, please get in touch.

Thank you again for helping make this year's programme such a success.

What a fantastic Sports Day! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ…: From the excitement of the traditional track and field events, including the 100m, 4x100m relay, discus, and javelin, to the fun and teamwork on display in our multi-relay (featuring the egg and spoon race!) and the challenging team Hyrox event, it was a day full of energy, determination, and school spirit.

A huge congratulations to every student who took part. Your effort, resilience, and sportsmanship were outstanding. Thank you as well to the rest of the school for your fantastic support and exemplary behaviour throughout the dayβ€”you helped create an incredible atmosphere.

A brilliant day from start to finish. Well done, everyone!
