Next Wednesday March 6th, between 2pm - 3.30pm at the Mens Shed, there is a workshop with Alford residents and researchers from James Hutton Institute to explore how Murray Park is used, and what it means to local residents. This is part of a wider research project exploring how people connect with nature in the park. We would love for you to join us! Near Corgarff there’s a bridge. It is the most interesting of bridges. It’s probably transported a whole load of stuff over it. Contraband, solidiers, renegades, deer, prisoners, guns & ammo, murder victims….who knows? Loads of feet have trod over it, horses, definitely horses.

It’s mixed bag at Christmas, for me at least. I love making the food and drinking great wine, it seems wired into my personal DNA. It’s my gift to the family. Fortunately, I’m getting more fussy with stuff I’m eating and drinking & sit there and savour as opposed to gorge on anything in particular. It’s interesting to see the stuff that remains in the fridge, untouched. Normally it’s shop bought stuff although we do have disasters we make of course. For us though, we try to create loads of tried and tested good stuff. However, every year, between Christmas and New Year, I find that time drags, & drags and all I do is walk the dogs & huff and puff unable to really get stuck into any particular project….to that end, with all the horrors reported World wide, we need conscience but, above all else, we need to Live 2024! All the best folks.
