Friday 15th May - Edinburgh Zoo
Our 2 Young STEM Leaders groups had a special outing to Edinburgh Zoo. They were lucky enough to have a talk on primate behaviours from the engaging and enthusiastic Blair.
The pupils were well behaved and respectful and showed themselves to be assets to the school.
Thanks to Mrs Lock for organising.

Its been a busy week of trips from the science department...
Wednesday 15th May - All Energy Conference
Our S3 Skills for Work (Level 5) Energy students headed to the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) today to dive into the heart of the renewables revolution!
From offshore wind innovations to the latest in green hydrogen, our learners got a first-hand look at the massive career opportunities waiting for them in the Net Zero sector.
All the students were extremely well behaved and a local resident on our train journey from Renton to Exhibition Centre commented on how well behaved they were.
A huge thank you to the exhibitors for inspiring the next generation of engineers and energy experts!
Thanks to Mr Keegan for organising.

This week 2.3 and 2.9 have been making the most of the good weather by investigating wind power.
Joke of the day...
Two wind turbines are standing in a field. One asks the other, "What kind of music do you like?"
The other replies, "I'm a big metal fan".
