Yesterday we went to the WKA Dundee open with 4 of our kids for the k1 tourney. 1 never got matched and 2 had to go on mats to get a match but regardless we came home with 2 gold medals 🥇and 1 silver 🥈.

Euan O'Hare never got matched no matter what we tried, but instead of moping about he stepped up and helped with the wee kids and done amazing on the day. Also gained some valuable coaching experience and will be ready to go asap.

Oscar finally got to fight somebody his own age and won an absolute war by decision. Almost stopped the boy in round 1.

Eva had to go on mats against an older current multiple wka world kickboxing champ and lost on points. She done amazing but wasnt to be her day. Shes hoping the girl will now fight her in ring under thai or k1 in near future ;)

Simon stopped his opponent in what must be the quickest high kick finish Ive ever seen. Literally 1 second after they touched gloves. Was amazing but had to contain ourselves until we knew his wee opponent was awright 💪

Massive thanks to Dominic Mcpadden for taking the time out to help in what was a very long, frustrating day to get the best out the kids. Also thanks to my wife Louise McDonald for all her help and everything she does to support us behind the scenes and also to everybody who came to support the kids.

Will be looking for a more localised show next time before a couple of the kids represent Scotland in June for the worlds, then be going south for a shot at the WKO and ISKA as well 💪🥊🙏

Last night marked the end of an era as it was it our last night training out of Alexandria Kickboxing - AKA gym. We would like to say thank you to Stewart for helping us get started initially as AKA Muay Thai and then for using his gym as a base when we became Alexandria Muay Thai 🥊💪.

Through West Dunbartonshire Councils help we will now be based in Alexandria Community Centre. Timetable remains the same, small class is full but couple spaces available in the -17s so if interested please message me or the page.

Dylan won his pro debut by unanimous decison beating a tough opponent from Scottish Hit Squad 💪 Massive thanks to Dom McPadden, Mick Diamond, Billy Towie and everybody else who helped him. The bhoys gonna go very far watch this space!
