Amazing competition to win all these boogie beat Items! Please like and share x
I was over the moon to get an invitation and take part in a local Pre-school staff meeting!
I was invited to bring in some of my resources and put them on display to provide some inspiration and give staff a taste of what ' NO PLASTIC ' looks like.

These resources proved to be really inspiring and even the staff's children got involved and put their tablets to one side. The team loved what they were seeing and hearing. They discussed their concerns such as items getting broken and together they came up with marvellous solutions and plans to move forward. Whenever a concern cropped up they kept reflecting back to the benefits, which gave them the key to move forward, wanting to instil change and wanting to help create the 'thinkers and doers' of the future.πŸŒπŸ§ πŸ™Œ

The team is absolutely brilliant Little Gems Aldershot πŸ‘

Some benefits of using these authentic and open-ended resources was discussed and which are in short:

✨*Learning how to RESPECT the environment*

✨*Saving our PLANET*🌏

✨*Recycling and upcycling means helping YOU to save money*πŸ’°

✨*Boost YOUR passion*πŸ’—

✨*NO gender divide*πŸ‘₯

✨*Incorporating cultural diversity from home life or wider community*πŸ₯»

✨*It helps children to learn how to think and not what to think*🧠

✨*Loose-part play creates a world of 'what if' which leads to thinking, problem solving and reasoning and ultimately leads to creativity and curiosity.*πŸ’«

Suitcase Treasure Bundles are SUPER CONVENIENT for early years providers as it's saving you the time to try and find the kind of magical items that you require.
The bundles can be used as a start-up bundle for those who are changing their practice to The Curiosity Approach, or the bundle can serve as a 'top up' in your already existing Curiosity Approach environment.

Either way you can be sure that these treasures you will find inside the suitcase will enrich children's experiences.

Please remember that there is a lot more to The Curiosity Approach than just having these beautiful resources. If you are planning on taking this Approach at your setting, then I would recommend that you consider taking the course. One really needs to understand WHY you are doing it and HOW to implement it.

Would anyone be interested in joining in a group so that parents and current children can keep in touch throughout the virus closure?
We had a little visit and fun with the tiger who came for tea. Have a go on google.

Little Gems pre-school is a family business and Magda's childhood dream. We see every child as a precious gem that has been created very uniquely.

Operating as usual

We ended our Spring term with an Easter egg hunt and many more fun and engaging activities 😍😍

Now to a lovely break πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

Happy Easter to our families and future clients 🐰πŸ₯šπŸ£πŸŽ‰πŸ’•πŸ˜˜ See you in two weeks time ✌️❀️

It was an honour to host Lauren from Toddle tales at our preschool today.

She has told our children biblical story about Easter. As much as we all love chocolate and egg hunts let us remember WHO is being celebrated and remembered at Easter.

Our children were engrossed into the story and LOVED taking an active part in welcoming Jesus into Jerusalem by waving their palm branches and looking for a donkey that was hiding to take Jesus there 🌴😍

Thank you Toddle Tales πŸ’•πŸ’•

More of Christmas funπŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸŽŠβ›„

Another special day developing children's curiosity through well planned activities and set ups 😍

Is beginning to look a lot like Christmas πŸŽ„πŸ˜πŸŽ‰πŸŽ…πŸŽπŸŒ²

Our children will be enjoying the Christmas activities without being pressured to produce an end effect e.g craft, decoration, card etc

Here is what Vygotsky said: ' It must not be forgotten that the basic law of children's creativity is that its value lies not in its results, not in the product of creation, but in the process itself. It is not important what children create, but that they do create, that they exercise and implement their creative imagination. '

Finger painting, transient art, den building for woodland animals is what our day was filled with πŸŽ¨πŸ˜πŸ‘Œ

Our oryginal email has some technical issues please use this one instead [email protected]
Many thanks πŸ’ž

Following our children's interest last week was full of treasure hunts, pirate ship building, potions making, fruit cutting, sensory exploration, tea making and discovering a glass jar with a tap.

We all wonder where our children will take us next?

Let us know how is your half term break so far and what you are getting up to?

Post pictures if easier πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

When loose parts became a center of today's play πŸ˜πŸ™‚ It was PEACEFUL. EVERYONE WAS ENGAGED πŸ™ŒπŸ˜and super CREATIVE and most of all the children were in charge of their play πŸŽ‰πŸ‘Œ

When some see loose parts as trash at Little Gems we see it as TREASURE πŸŽ‰πŸ™Œ

I invite you this Thursday at 7:30pm to DISCOVER which GEM you and your children are.

There are four types of Gems: Emerald, Pearl, Ruby and Sapphire.

Dani Johnson, creator of this personality assessment, mentions that we have characteristics of all four gems within us, some have more of two and little of others. Some have more of one, and communicate in one primary Gem more than others. Understanding your Gem and the Gem of others that you parent, work with or interact with, can help you as you better your communication and focus on helping them feel understood.

If you are WISHING TO better your relationship with your children and others around you message me for a private link to this FREE class.

See you there 😘

Autumn has arrived at Little Gemsβ˜”πŸŒ‘οΈπŸ§£πŸπŸ‚πŸƒ

Our children and their families have been encouraged to go on Autumn treasures hunt and bring back their special bags filled with their findings.

Look at all the activities that our amazing practitioners have created with it 😍

Benefits of playing with loose parts πŸ€”

Today our little gems had an opportunity to play with old car parts. There was no end to their curiosity and imagination.

When a little boy picked up a loose bit I asked him: 'do you know what is that part used for?' He demonstrated it to me by putting the pedal on the floor and pressing it with his foot followed by an explanation ' and then you go. '

I was very impressed by his knowledge of how to drive a car.

Why loose parts play is a huge part of our planning?

β€œWhen children interact with loose parts, they enter a world of β€œwhat if” that promotes the type of thinking that leads to problem solving and theoretical reasoning. Loose parts enhance children's ability to think imaginatively and see solutions, and they bring a sense of adventure and excitement to children's play”.

We are delighted to introduce to you our newest member of the team Janine.

Her passion for Early Years is inspiring and we are excited to see her contribution to every little mind as she will sparkle children's curiosity with her creativity and joy.

Janine is qualified to level 5 in childcare. She is a wife and a Mum to two beautiful children and a Suitcase Treasure Bundles business owner. She is also a great advocate of Curiosity Approach which we are hoping to see more of in our setting.

When you see her tomorrow give her a BIG welcome. All the best for your first day tomorrow 😘❀️

First week was so much FUNπŸ™ŒπŸ˜‰

Our settling in children surprised us all with their confidence and ability to adapt to new, massive change called: pre-schoolπŸ˜πŸŽ‰

We found a slug in the garden, painted 100+pictures, enjoyed our water wall and getting splashed on, took doggies for a walk, visited dinosaurs land, build towers taller than ourselves, discovered talking tubes, made tone of new friends and we are DEFINITELY ready for week 2.

Tell us in the comments what was your little one sharing with you about their first week of school πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Good luck to all the children returning, starting Primary school, settling in with us tomorrow.

We are thinking about you ALL and wishing you the best of luck ❀️

We would love to hear from our leavers how your first day at school goes 🚸😍

Birdworld trip was super successful. It was heartwarming to see the extremely strong friendships between our little gems.

Those will be the first friendships that they will cherish and remember for life

First ever friendships which can be remembered! πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸ€—

There are studies that confirm that the earliest memories, which can be recalled, point back to when we were 2.5 years old.

Have a lovely Summer and see you in September ❀️

We have asked our leavers what will they miss the most about Little Gems πŸ’Žhere is what they have said:

' dinosaurs, sport (several times☺️), water play new water wall, playdough, some of them responded with everything and of course Miss Tammy πŸ˜πŸ™Œ'

We have also asked what they liked the most about Little GemsπŸ’Ž they responded with:

'lunch time, mud kitchen, playing with porridge, magnets, sport, many of friends names and everything...'

This is getting so real and we are loving every minute with our precious childrenπŸ’•πŸ’ŽπŸ’™β€οΈ

Ask your little one what they have enjoyed the most at Little Gems and share it in the comments πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Here is our official announcement πŸ“’πŸ“’πŸ“’

Our preschool have been rated GOOD with OUTSTANDING features in the recent and our very first Ofsted inspection.

This is one of the things the inspector has pointed it out:

'Children benefit from a highly effective key-person system. Staff know their children exceptionally well. They ensure that they understand the unique needs of each child and identify individual learning styles'

EVERY CHILD IS A GEM and we are thrilled that the inspector has noticed it in our practiseπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ’ŽπŸ’ŽπŸ’Ž

Well done to the AMAZING team that has worked tirelessly to earn this recognition.

Can you help me thank them with your comments πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Our water wall has arrived the Summer can now properly start πŸ˜‚πŸ’¦ Would you agree?

The children are in love with it and there is no end to giggles and laughterπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰

During our last staff meeting we had a privilege to learn from Janine from Suitcase Treasure Bundles.

Not only she educated us about benefits of curiosity approach but also inspired us with many new ideas, opened our minds and helped us come up with a great plan in the further implementation of this approach in our setting.

We are forever GREATFUL πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ
