Totterdown Preschool Harpers A term time teacher led (QTS) preschool for children aged 2-5 based in Ash. Open Monday to Friday 9-3 We are a small term time preschool.

Originally founded in 2016 in Deepcut where we obtained an outstanding Ofsted rating, we have now relocated to this fantastic site Ash. Led by Qualified Early Years Teachers for children aged 2-5. Open Monday to Friday.

Our Harpers location is ideal for those of you looking for lots of outside space, which we have plenty of!

The setting itself is set back from the main road, placed within a

secure scout hut we can offer a lovely sized inside space, where children can free flow between the inside and outside areas.

It is where children are free to investigate, explore and learn - a fabulous forest school! Ash - is situated on the Hampshire, Surrey border (near Deepcut, Mytchett, Ash Vale, Aldershot, Tongham, Flexford and Normandy)

Welcome back!
We hope everyone has had a wonderful summer. A very warm welcome back to our returning families and a big hello to all the new children and families joining us.

We can’t wait for lots of outdoor adventures, Forest School fun, exploring, creating, learning and, most importantly, plenty of smiles and laughter along the way!

🌿🪵 Learning new skills, one shave at a time!

Our Forest School sessions give children the opportunity to safely explore new experiences, including supervised whittling. With careful guidance from our Forest School Leader, the children learned how to use a whittling knife to shape sticks, developing concentration, hand-eye coordination and confidence.

By learning to assess risk, follow safety rules and persevere with a new skill, the children discovered how capable they are.

🦕🫧 Our dinosaurs needed a good scrub after lots of muddy adventures!

Using toothbrushes, plenty of bubbly foam and our outdoor play tray, the children carefully cleaned every dinosaur from head to tail. This hands-on activity encouraged fine motor skills and imaginative play, while enjoying the fresh air outdoors.

Who knew cleaning dinosaurs could be so much fun?!

🌿🐾 Ready... Set... Go! 🐢🦎

We had so much fun cheering on our animal races in the garden! From speedy lizards to determined little creatures, there were lots of excited smiles as we all watched to see who would reach the finish line first!

Activities like these encourage turn-taking, prediction, communication and imaginative play, all while enjoying the outdoors. Sometimes the simplest games create the biggest excitement! Roar!

This year, we did Sports Day a little differently and headed into the shade of our Forest School. Our children had a fantastic time putting their balancing and jumping skills to the test! 💚
