I’m an experienced teacher providing 1:1 tutoring, specialising in English Language & Literature.

I'm Carly and I'm an experienced teacher having taught for over eleven years. In my current role at Reading College, I work with post-16 learners teaching GCSE English Language. I am available for 1:1 tutoring and currently specialise in English Language & Literature for both GCSE and A Level. I am also primary trained, so I can offer Key Stage 2 tuition across the curriculum and I have experience of teaching 11+ for Grammar School entry.

I’m pleased to share that I have been approved to become a GCSE English Language Examiner! This will be really helpful in developing my understanding of what is required to get a Grade 4 and also to see content at higher levels - this knowledge and experience will enable me to support my own students even further 😃

We’ve come to the end of my working week - I’ve taught around 120 students in four days, so working hard to get to know them all! I’m very pleased to have a day off tomorrow before I teach my adult learners on their Level 4 Counselling Diploma over the weekend 😄
