🧸 Bears’ Letter Hunt 🧸

This morning, the Bears had so much fun taking part in a letter hunt. The children searched for sticky notes with different letters on them and matched each letter to the correct letter on our large alphabet.

The children worked together, speaking to each other as they searched for all of the letters. Once they had successfully completed the activity, the children proudly sang the alphabet together.

We then gathered on the carpet to talk about each letter and share some of their favourite things.

It was lovely to see the children and their understanding of letters and words, while confidently expressing their opinions and listening to their friends.

🧸✨ A fun-filled day in Cubs! ✨🧸
This week, our Cubs are focusing on our Golden Rules and learning how we can use them in our everyday play! 🌟

Today, our little Cubs had a busy and exciting day exploring walking feet inside and running feet outside as they enjoyed lots of fantastic free-flow play. 🏃‍♀️💨 We loved seeing them make choices, explore their surroundings and have fun with their friends!

This afternoon, we put our sharing and turn-taking skills to the test with a game of Pop-Up Pirate! 🏴‍☠️⚔️ The Cubs did a brilliant job waiting patiently for their turn, sharing with their friends and cheering each other on! 👏😊

And to finish off our lovely day, our Cubs got creative and made some beautiful pictures to take home for Mummy and Daddy. 🎨💖

What a wonderful day of learning, playing, sharing and creating! 🌈🧸✨

🪾🍂AUTUMN 🍂🪾

Autumn has arrived at Queen Mary’s! The children loved exploring various sensory resources such as sawdust, leaves, tissue paper and wood. We spoke about how the world around us is changing and what we have noticed on our journey to nursery!

We next got a little messy in the tuff tray and made our own cupcakes! The children explored shaving foam with different imaginative resources as toppings! We really enjoyed showing our friends and teachers how much we cared for them by creating cupcakes for them!

The babies had an eventful day this week as they went sightseeing around aldershot! The children enjoyed walking around the local town where the staff demonstrated some new vocabulary for the children. It was so relaxing that most of the children fell asleep but they had an amazing time!

Today some of the children from caterpillars went on a walk to the library. The children spoke about what they saw on the way and enjoyed the cooler weather! Whilst at the library, the children read some lovely stories with their teachers and picked up some pirate books to read back at nursery!
