🎃👻 A SPOOKTACULAR PARTY AT THE RYLEYS! 🕸️🪩

Pumpkins galore, incredible costumes and plenty of spooky surprises! Our end of half term, Spooktacular Party was packed with laughter, dancing and some seriously impressive outfits! 🧙‍♀️🦇

A huge shout-out to DJ Rowe and DJ Anthony for keeping the tunes (and little feet!) moving! 🎶💃

And an enormous thank you to our brilliant Social Committee for all the time, energy and creativity that went into organising such a fantastic afternoon. Events like these don’t happen by magic (even at Halloween!), and we’re so grateful for everything they do to bring our school community together. 💛👏

Year 2 stepped back in time at Weaver Hall Museum this week, bringing their Victorian learning to life in the best possible way! 🕰️✨

Surrounded by gloriously bold Victorian wallpaper, our pupils discovered that clashing patterns may well have been all the rage… and, as always, The Ryleys blazers were not afraid to stand out! 💛🖤

Most importantly, the visit gave Year 2 the opportunity to experience history beyond the classroom — helping them to explore Victorian life in a hands-on, memorable way and deepening their understanding through real-life experiences. 📚🏛️

We were also so proud of how brilliantly they behaved throughout the trip. For such young pupils, they showed wonderful maturity, curiosity and quiet confidence, representing The Ryleys beautifully from start to finish.

✨ OFFICIALLY OPEN ✨

The rain certainly didn’t dampen our spirits! A huge thank you to all the parents and families who joined us — umbrellas and all — to celebrate the official opening of our newly expanded Early Years at The Ryleys. 🖤💛

A special thank you too to Mrs Langford, who joined Mr Puckle and Mrs Renshaw to cut the ribbon and mark this exciting milestone for the school.

This has been years in the making, designed with purpose and built to last. From The Loft and The Atelier to our enhanced outdoor areas, every space has been created to help young children explore, imagine, play and thrive.

Children can now join The Ryleys from 12 months old, benefiting from superb adult-to-child ratios, extended care across 50 weeks of the year and the expertise and facilities of a Prep School from the very beginning — including specialist teaching in French, music and PE, swimming from Pre-Reception, and access to our science, art and sports facilities.

🥇 AND WE’RE OFF! Our very first Good Deed is on the board! 🥇

We were incredibly proud to see one of our pupils place the very first gold token into our 150 Good Deeds display, joined by Headteacher Mr Puckle to celebrate the achievement. 💛👏

Over the weekend, he took time to donate food to a local foodbank — a simple act of kindness that will make a real difference to someone in our community.

Our 150 Good Deeds project is about much more than celebrating our 150th anniversary. It’s about bringing our values to life — showing kindness and respect, thinking of others, taking responsibility and making a positive contribution to the world around us.

Throughout this special year, every genuine Good Deed completed by our pupils will add another gold token to our display. Individually they may be small acts, but together we hope they’ll add up to something pretty special. ✨

One deed down… 149 to go! 🥳

We cannot wait to watch our board fill with gold over the year ahead. 💛

🎉 What a way to start the new school year!🌭

Our Welcome Back Bash was a brilliant afternoon of families coming together, catching up, sharing summer stories and enjoying some fantastic hospitality. 🖤💛

A huge thank you to our wonderful Social Committee, RNLI, Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service, Granelli’s Ice Cream, Lazy Joe’s, Titans & Tiaras and all the staff who helped make it such a success. 🙌

💛 School is better with you in it! 🖤

What a brilliant first few days back for a new school year. The classrooms are busy, the playground is buzzing and it’s been wonderful to see our school full of children and staff again. 🎒✨

And what a school they’ve come back to! After lots of work over the summer, the whole site is looking incredible — refreshed, bright and ready for another exciting year ahead. 💛

There’s even more to come… From Monday, our new and improved Early Years areas will be fully open and we can’t wait to see our youngest Ryleys pupils making themselves at home. 🐝🌱

It’s good to be back. The Ryleys just isn’t The Ryleys without you. 🖤💛

🏗️✨ DAY 40: OUR 150TH ANNIVERSARY INVESTMENT IS TAKING SHAPE

What a difference 40 days can make!

Since work began in July, our 150th Anniversary Investment Programme has been progressing at pace — and we’re delighted to be slightly ahead of schedule. 🙌

Across the school, spaces are being refreshed, enhanced and reimagined, including the exciting transformation of our Early Years provision. 💛

As we prepare to celebrate 150 years of inspiring young minds, we’re incredibly proud of our history — and even more excited about what comes next.

We can’t wait to welcome our families back in September and reveal the changes! ✨

Today marked the end of another incredible school year and, as always, our final day was filled with a wonderful mix of emotions.

We proudly celebrated our fantastic Year 6 pupils as they begin their next exciting adventure, while also saying a heartfelt farewell to Mrs Langford, Miss Thomas, Mrs Willett, Miss Skelton, Miss Bywater and Mrs Auton. Each leaves with our sincere thanks for the care, commitment and inspiration they have given to hundreds of children and to our whole school community. We wish every one of them every success and happiness in the exciting chapters ahead.

As one chapter closes, another begins. While the school enjoys a well-earned summer break, our project team arrives on Monday to begin the exciting transformation of our Early Years environment as part of our investment in the future. As we prepare to celebrate our 150th anniversary, we’re proving that we’re not just proud of our history—we’re proudly 150 years young, always looking ahead and continuing to invest in inspiring young minds.

Have a wonderful summer, everyone. We’ll see you in September for another exciting year at The Ryleys. 💛🖤
