Improving access to primary care involves more than changing how patients contact their practice.

PMA’s Demand for Access virtual workshop will examine what the Delivery Plan for Recovering Access to Primary Care and the contractual requirements around access to GP services mean for General Practice and PCNs.

Topics will include:
• Consistent patient access, needs assessment and front-line triage
• Signposting patients to an appropriate service at first contact
• Cloud-based telephony and patient communication
• Online access to medical records and GDPR considerations
• Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) changes
• Changes to the Impact and Investment Fund and QOF Quality Improvement modules
• Workforce wellbeing and optimising demand and capacity
The workshop is intended for senior managers and practice or administration managers working in primary care.

A huge congratulations to Tayler on achieving a Distinction in her Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship!

Tayler enrolled on the apprenticeship with us through Wellbank Practice, where she works as a Reception Administrator. Reflecting on her experience, she said: “Dawn was very supportive, and I found the work really simple to achieve alongside my day-to-day work.”

When we asked what difference completing the programme had made, Tayler said: “I feel much more confident within my role and much more knowledgeable about the NHS as a whole and how organisations work.”
