Set in a delightful rural village location, our school and nursery benefits from large open plan classrooms, plenty of outdoor learning space set within our spacious forest grounds. We follow a creative, child-led curriculum and whilst our children excel at Maths and English we are careful to balance this with an interactive, innovative and fun approach to all subjects covered. Outdoor learning is a huge part of enabling our children to play, explore and develop across the curriculum. We offer high-quality care and education in our combined school and nursery setting, starting from 2 years through to the age of 9. We offer full wrap around care for all of our children between the hours of 7.45am and 6pm. Today we celebrated our amazing Year 4 Leavers as they finish their St James’ First School journey.

What an incredible group of children you are! We've watched you grow in confidence, make wonderful friendships, overcome challenges, and create memories that will stay with you for years to come.

As you take your next steps, remember to believe in yourselves, be kind and keep working hard. We are so proud of everything you've achieved and can't wait to see all the amazing things you'll go on to do.

What a fantastic way to celebrate the last day of term!

A huge thank you to Mr and Mrs Romain and their ice cream van for visiting our school and helping to make the day extra special for all of our pupils. Seeing so many smiling faces enjoying a well-deserved treat was the perfect way to round off another wonderful school year.

What an incredible achievement!

A huge well done to all of our amazing children who took part in our fundraising challenge. Their enthusiasm, determination, and hard work have been fantastic to see, and thanks to their efforts, together we have raised £2,368.52 for our school!

We are so proud of every child who got involved and grateful to all the families, friends, and supporters who donated and encouraged them along the way. Your generosity will make a real difference! A massive thank you to the FSJ for organising this fundraiser - it is so appreciated!

What a wonderful afternoon of music!

A huge congratulations to all of our talented young pianists who performed today for their friends and families. The children have been working on Book 1 and Book 2 and each performed a piece they had been practicing.

Thank you to our amazing piano teacher Becca for her guidance and support and to the friends and family who came to watch.

Well done to each and every performer—we can't wait to see your musical journey continue! Britain's Got Talent be ready!
