Sunflower Montessori Nursery School The Sunflower Montessori Nursery is for 2 to 5 year olds. We treat every child as an individual It was established in January 1991.

We provide individual care to develop in a social and educational environment. The children can attend 2 to 10 sessions per week. Children bring in their own packed lunch and throughout the day school provides fruit/raisins/milk/water at the snack table. The staff ratio is 1:8 with the class size up to 28 children. The Seedlings parent and toddler group is intended for children from birth to 2 years of age. The group meets on a Wednesday from 9.15 – 10.45 a.m. The children interact with each other and access new experiences. Regular attendance also prepares the child for transition into the nursery.

The children are cooking as we are talking about a to z fruit and vegetables, so we grated carrots and cut up apples to add to our cake mix. It cooked in our oven for fifteen minutes; the classroom smelled wonderful.

Here is a success for our cauliflower plant that last year the caterpillars eat all the leaves, the plant survived and before the butterflies lay their eggs the plant has grown the most beautiful cauliflower on a 2year old stalk.
