Finding Calm in Our Zen Den 🌿

The children have been enjoying our new Mindfulness and Sensory Zen Den, a quiet and calming space where they can take some time to relax and unwind.

The Zen Den is adapted to suit each child's individual needs, giving them the opportunity to explore the sensory resources that work best for them. The weighted blankets have been a particular favourite, providing comforting sensory input and helping some of our children to feel calm and settled.

This special little space has already had such a positive impact, supporting the children's wellbeing and giving them a safe and peaceful place whenever they need a moment of calm 💛

What a fantastic turnout at our Summer Fete this year. We want to thank all our wonderful families for coming and supporting us ✨

We noted that the ice creams and hot dogs were gone in no time 🍦🌭🫣 and it was lovely to see the children bouncing on the bouncy castle, creating their own bags, planting and so much more 🎣🌱

🌼 Exploring Our Beautiful Garden 🌿

Our Explorers have been having a wonderful time exploring their newly refreshed garden🌞

They have loved discovering all the different areas, taking in new sounds, feeling a variety of textures and watching the exciting construction taking place around them.

Their curiosity has led to lots of exciting discoveries as they explored nature through play 🌿

Splish, splash, it’s water play time! 💦

Our Discoverers have been having lots of fun exploring water play while developing their independence and fine motor skills 💧

Using tea sets and a variety of STEM activities, the children enjoyed pouring, filling and emptying containers, squeezing bottles, tightening jar lids and experimenting with pumps and pipettes. As they played, they used lots of fantastic mathematical language, including words like more, empty and full, as well as practising their counting skills.

It was wonderful to see the children growing in confidence, persevering with new challenges and feeling proud of themselves as they learnt to have a go independently before asking for help 💙

We have been learning all about volcanoes (& what better way than making one erupt 🌋)

Using food colouring, vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, the children watched in amazement as their volcano erupted right before their eyes. They wanted to do it again and again 0 in every colour they could think of! 🌈

We recently had a VERY exciting moment at nursery… a big tractor drove past the nursery 🚜 The children rushed to wave and were absolutely delighted when the farmer waved back 🙋😄

This then led to lots of conversations and questions all about the tractor, the farmer and life on a farm ✨

What a wonderful morning welcoming our dads and grandads in 🥰

The children had the best time showing off their world - from mud pie making in the mud kitchen 🫙 to games, the tinkering station and quality time together in our Fox Den building their very own camping experience ⛺

The fairy garden was as magical as ever 🧚 and to top it all off everyone enjoyed a delicious sausage bap in the sunshine! 🌭☀️

Look at our wonderful vegetable garden 🥕🥬

The children have been taking great care of our carrots, spring onions and lettuces, watching them grow with such pride and dedication. And the best part? Getting to taste the vegetables they grew themselves 😋
