"The floor is LAVA!!!" 🌋

And just like that… the room transforms! The children have been having the most incredible time with this classic game, leaping, jumping and finding the most creative ways to navigate their surroundings without touching the floor 😄

The teamwork, imagination and pure joy on show has been just wonderful to see - and the inventive rules and strategies they come up with themselves are even better!

Some of Our Investigators school leavers have begun an exciting pen pal project with Our Investigators school leavers at our Redditch Nursery, Bright Kids, Crabbs Cross, Worcestershire setting 💛

The children have been busy creating beautiful drawings to share with their new friends, and over the coming weeks they'll also be sharing photographs of their rooms - a lovely way to learn about each other's lives 📸🎨

A wonderful way to build communication, creativity and confidence, all while forming new friendships ahead of their next big adventure at school ✉️

Lots of laughter and teamwork this week as the children have been enjoying a variety of traditional games together 🎲 Alongside all the fun, there has been some brilliant counting, number recognition and problem solving happening along the way ✨

🐛 We have caterpillars! 🐛

After the excitement of watching our tadpoles grow, we are now caring for caterpillars!

The children are fascinated by them and are looking forward to observing the changes they go through over the coming weeks. This hands-on experience provides a wonderful opportunity to learn about nature, growth and life cycles.

We can't wait to see their transformation into butterflies! 🦋✨

Our Discoverers are absolutely dino-mad at the moment… and we are here for it 🦕 Last week we brought dinosaurs and dinosaur books back into the small world, and the fun continued with some dinosaur paint exploration 🎨 The children investigated the footprints different dinosaurs make, explored big and small, heavy and light, and practised their colours - with a special focus on blue! 💙
