๐ŸŒŠ A new adventure is just around the bend... ๐ŸŒฟ

Weโ€™re already looking forward to our next block of outdoor education, where weโ€™ll be following the fascinating theme of RIVERS.

From tiny trickling streams to powerful flowing rivers, weโ€™ll be exploring the journey of water and all the life, stories and adventures that rivers hold.

๐Ÿ’ง Discovering how rivers shape our landscape
๐Ÿธ Exploring river habitats and wildlife
๐Ÿชจ Investigating currents, stones and natural materials
๐ŸŒฑ Thinking about where water comes from and where it travels
๐Ÿค Working together, getting creative and connecting with nature

As always, there will be plenty of opportunities for curiosity, exploration, movement, muddy hands and outdoor adventure!

We canโ€™t wait to see where the river takes us... ๐ŸŒŠโœจ

We would like to say a big thank you to all the lovely families who have joined us for our first block at Eyton Burrow. Getting to know the children and watching them find their roots at the farm has been wonderful.

As the season gently begins to shift once again, we look forward to our next 6-week block starting on Thursday 10th September. We welcome enquiries, the opportunity to show you the farm and to discuss whether our outdoor education setting and ethos are right for your family.

Our plans for a river-themed Sept/Oct are well underway and we hope you're as excited as we are โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿž๏ธ

Tomorrow sees us celebrating the end of our first block together at Eyton Burrow. With a focus on building bridges both physically and figuratively, and growing our sense of place at the farm, we have so much to look back on from our time together so far.

On the theme of harvest and to continue our Lammas celebrations, the children will be preparing a seasonal feast for their families. We will reflect on all we've experienced over the last six weeks from grinding our own flour for baking bread, taking care of our new resident chicks, developing our map skills and taking part in the big butterfly count.

This picture sees Rachel and two of our lovely group heading out across the field to pick blackberries for our very tasty blackberry and almond muffins.

Our next block starts on Thursday 10th September. If you're interested in joining us, please don't hesitate to reach out, we would love to hear from you.

We are nearly halfway through our first block at Eyton Burrow and our current theme is centred on building bridges and making connections.

Each time we meet we look at stories of friendship and community, we spend time exploring the farm, building a connection to place and a sense of belonging. We consider seasonal landmarks such as the upcoming harvest and of course, cool off with some botanical ice cubes, beetroot and berry ice pops and time in the woods for making ice creams and cakes at Eyton Burrow's very own Buns and Scoop shop โ˜บ๏ธโœจ

What an absolute joy it is too!

We've had an incredible time during our pilot sessions here at Eyton Burrow and we are counting down for our first 6-week block which starts this week on 2nd July.

For this first block we will be thinking about the harvest season here on the farm and all the wonderful ways that we can learn from the land and natural world around us. From bridge building, combining, milling to baking - we're really excited!

If you think our setting could be a good fit for your child and family, take a look at our website and get in touch, we'd love to hear from you ๐Ÿ˜Š

Eyton Burrow is a space where land, learning and wellbeing grow together.

We look forward to sharing details about our first 6-week block with you very soon. Whilst we are preparing in the background however, you are invited along to our next two pilot sessions.

The theme of these upcoming sessions will be 'Bug Boffins & Wildflower Wanderers'. We are very excited to see the world through the eyes of the incredibly diverse insects that live on the farm and we have a range of activities lined up to help us do this. More importantly, those who attend will have the chance to bring their creative ideas and problem-solving skills to support our learning and enjoyment.

We hope you'll join us ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿชณ๐Ÿฆ‹
