please take the time to complete this survey please x

Public Health Scotland is asking parents and carers of children aged between two and seven years old to take part in their COVID-19 Early Years Resilience and Impact Survey.

Feedback from this survey will help identify how children and families have been affected by the different restrictions and as we continue to live with coronavirus.

It should only take 10 minutes to complete and will provide further insight into children’s experiences to help understand the impact of the pandemic on this age group.

Find out more and take part at https://bit.ly/3fBARYV before the survey closes on Monday 7 December.

Your support would really be appreciated to help increase the potential impact of the results.

Our Story

Taking learning outdoors gives children the opportunity to learn in an ever-changing environment where the colours, temperature, textures, sounds and wildlife within their outdoor environment change daily, creating a more sensory and stimulating learning experience and offering great challenge.

At Woodland explorers, I believe that playing outside for prolonged periods allows children more freedom to explore and gain a practical understanding of the world around them, allowing them to connect with nature. The children are able to investigate curriculum areas like literacy, numeracy and science through real world examples and first-hand experience. However, and perhaps more importantly, outdoor play also significantly enhances the development of their emotional intelligence, self-confidence, resilience, problem solving, teamwork and leadership. Learning these Important skills are essential to the well-rounded learning experience that is vital for life beyond pre-school classroom learning.
