📚🌟 Julia Donaldson Week 🌟📚

Dear Parents, Carers and Staff,

We are very excited to announce that we will be celebrating Julia Donaldson Week! 🎉📖

We are doing this to celebrate the launch of Julia Donaldson’s brand-new book, Gruffalo Granny, which will be launched on Thursday 10th September! 🥳📚

Throughout the week, the children will enjoy a wonderful selection of Julia Donaldson’s much-loved stories, including The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child, The Ugly Five, Gruffalo Granny and The Snake Who Came to Stay. Each day will bring a new story and lots of opportunities for the children to enjoy storytelling, imagination and fun.

To make the week extra special, children are invited to dress up as their favourite Julia Donaldson character on any day during the week if they wish. 🐭🦊🐲 There is absolutely no pressure to take part — we simply want the children to have fun and celebrate their love of stories.

Please see the attached poster for the full programme and details of our special Granny Stay & Play afternoon on Thursday 10th September, 3:30–4:15pm. We would love our families and Grannies to join us for an afternoon of stories, fun and celebrations!

We can't wait to share a magical week of stories, imagination and fun with the children and celebrate the exciting launch of Gruffalo Granny together! 💜📚✨

What a fantastic day celebrating 8 amazing years of Green Apple Nursery Airdrie! ☀️🎉

We marked the occasion with a wonderful birthday party in the sunshine, filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of fun. The children enjoyed delicious treats, a bouncy castle, bubbles, music, and even some exciting water fights to cool down in the warm weather! Thank you to all our families and staff for being part of our journey over the last 8 years and here’s to many more happy memories together! 💚🍏

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Transition Evening, which will take place on Tuesday 2nd June 2026 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

This session is designed for parents of children who will be transitioning within the nursery over the coming months, as well as those who will be moving on to primary school.

The evening will provide an opportunity to:

Meet staff and discuss your child’s next steps
Learn more about what to expect during the transition process
Ask any questions you may have and share any information that will support your child
We understand that transitions are an important milestone, and we are here to support both you and your child every step of the way.
