Huge thanks to Sneaker Saviours for this fantastic donation of children’s shoes and trainers. This is just in time to help with a lot of children looking for shoes for returning to school. All shoes were cleaned and repaired where necessary and are looking fantastic.
If you’ve got a pair of trainers in need of a little bit of tlc give their page a look https://www.facebook.com/sneakersavioursglasgow

URGENT! Can we please ask parents to be considerate when using the school car park. Parents should only park in designated bays or in drop off points and not on pavements or roads. Your children’s safety is of the highest priority to us. 🚘 🚙

Return to school plans.
Return to Schools
Schools across North Lanarkshire will return from Wednesday August 12. Our head teachers have been working hard to go through every part of the Scottish Government guidance and we’ve decided that this return will be phased until Friday August 14 to allow pupils to familiarise themselves with new routines, changes to buildings and hygiene measures.
FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS
• Wednesday August 12: Primary One, Two and Three will be in school.
• Thursday August 13: Primary One, Four, Five, Six and Seven will be in school.
• From Friday August 14, all pupils will be in school.
All Primary One pupils will attend on each of these days. Please also note that arrival and departure times at primary schools may vary, particularly for Primary One. Your school will be in direct contact if that is the case.
FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS
• Wednesday August 12: First Year, Second Year and Third Year will be in school.
• Thursday August 13: First Year, Fourth Year, Fifth Year and Sixth Year will be in school.
• From Friday August 14, all pupils will be in school.
All First Year pupils will attend on each of these days.
FOR ASN SCHOOLS
Arrangements will be in line with those for primary and secondary schools set out above. However, there may be a need for local variation based on the specific needs of children and your school will be in direct contact with you of that is the case.
FOR NURSERY CLASSES AND FAMILY LEARNING CENTRES
Nursery classes at primary schools will return on Wednesday 12 August and those based at Family Learning Centres will return on Thursday 13 August. The exception to this is Stepping Stones Family Learning Centre, which is open on Wednesday 12 August. If you have not already heard from your provider confirming your child’s session, your provider will be in touch shortly.
For more info, please see the letter on our dedicated web page at https://crowd.in/OdVvld.
We know you’ll have lots of questions about things like safety and hygiene measures, transport and meals. On Wednesday August 5 we will publish common questions and answers on our website, and we’ll add to these in the coming days.

We're reviewing the detailed guidance on the return of schools and early learning centres in August.
We'll be in contact with parents and carers as soon as possible to outline our arrangements for the safe return of staff, children and young people and what health and safety measures will be in place at facilities to help prevent the transmission of coronavirus.

We hope to have all existing clothing grant application payments made by early next week.
Once these are all processed we will then begin processing new applications.

Schools update Tuesday 23 June 2020
We are currently assessing the impact of the Scottish Government's announcement that schools are to reopen full time from August.
As this was only announced today, we will make further information available on how this impacts on North Lanarkshire schools as soon as we can and we will ensure that pupils, parents and staff are kept updated.
Our priority is the safety of our pupils and staff across our network of primary, secondary and ASN schools, as well as our early learning and childcare settings.
We are preparing for pupils to return full-time to school on 12 August.

A new Summer Community Hub offer with essential support for children of key workers, vulnerable children, and children and young people with additional support needs will start from Thursday.
Booking forms now live on northlanarkshire.gov.uk/summerhubs since 5pm. We’re aware some people have completed the school hub form rather than summer hub – please update.
Parents and carers will be able to book day-long care at nine hub facilities and ten family learning centres that we’ve set up with our partners specifically for the summer holiday period across North Lanarkshire for children and young people from birth to 16 years of age from 25 June until 10 August.
Provision for 5-16 year old ages (including children and young people with additional support needs) at nine hubs, Monday to Friday (and at one centre in Airdrie at the weekend) in a choice of culture and leisure facilities where they will experience a range of sports, activities, arts and crafts.
Ten family learning centres for babies and children up to five years who have not started school will offer childcare Monday to Friday only. There will also be 3 hubs with children with more complex needs.
In addition, free packed lunches will be available to primary pupils through our Club 365 programme from the nine summer hubs.
Bookings can be made online on Monday 22 June at https://crowd.in/t2jLDj
