The centre is well designed and the classes are appropriate for each kids age group. The stuffs are friendly and always welcoming. My boys goes couple of days a week and love the centre so much which gives me a peace of mind. I highly recommended it to everyone who is looking a child care for their kids.
Good day, just enquiring about 4 y.o. kinder please, is this still charged at the daily rate - or is it fully government subsidised (ie. around $380 per term). If the latter of the two, we would like to enrol our daughter. Look forward to your advice. Thank-you
What is the procedure to enroll kids? Any age limit?

🐛 Our JK2 children have been learning about the life cycle of butterflies, they have spent the last week taking care of the two chrysalis. Each day the children took turns of giving them a light spray with some water. Today we were luck enough to see one of the butterflies emerge from its chrysalis, this beautiful butterfly will be set free outdoors to explore its natural habitat. 🦋

✏️FAMILY PORTRAITS✏️
The children in the JK2 room often initiative activities by expressing themselves to educators . Group time discussion allows great opportunity for children to voice their interest and ideas to the class. Our family portrait activity is a great example of a child initiated activity. This activity took place over the course of a week, allowing for each child to draw a picture of their family. To extend on this interest , educator were able to set up the activity by suppling a variety of black colour texters, crayons ,pencils and paper with each child's name.
Child were proud to draw their family portrait, when doing so, children were able to describe characteristics of each member of their family, this allowed opportunity for children to make a connection with home whilst attending care.

Bush Kinder is great opportunity for our children to explore the natural elements of the Eynesbury Forrest.🌳
The children have been discussing different types of structures that they may find when they are out and about in the forest and what types of places animals may live in the wild. Whilst they were on their adventure one of the children initiated a conversation about building a “hut” the children quickly all became involved gathering large sticks to build their structure, they will see if this is still standing on their next adventure out to the forest.

The Junior Kinder 1 children have been exploring space and planets this month, this has led onto discussions about volcanos. 🌋
Our educators have been reading books to the children about volcanos and explaining that the pressure below causes a volcano to erupt, the children were very excited seeing the pictures of the erupting volcano.
Our educators took this opportunity to set up a science experience for the children to explore demonstrating to them what happens when the chemicals react.
Children were eager to take turns to add bi carb soda, dye and vinegar into the volcano that they had made out of sand and watch the reaction of them combining, their faces say it all when their volcano errupted!

Our Junior Kinder 2 children enjoy participating in science experiments. Today our educators set up a water in a bag pencil experiment for the children to explore. They filled a Ziploc bag with water and took sharpened coloured pencils and poked it through the bag insuring that the pencil came through to the other side, without water leaking out of the holes.

The children were able to work alongside each other to get the pencils through the bag, it was great to see their turn taking skills and using conversations to complete the experience. Children were intrigued and amazed to see our experiment work, there was no water leaking.

🚦ROAD SAFETY🚦

Today the Kinder children had an incursion all about road safety! Children learnt about the meaning of the different coloured traffic lights and the importance of walking with an adult, especially when we cross roads. We practised Stop, Look, Listen, Think motions using different road signs and a railway crossing. We measured our heights for car seats and tried on hemets to show how they need to fit to be safe when on our bikes.
This was a great opportunity for the children to practice road skills that they need in their day to day lives, especially when we are out on excursions! Thank you to

In the lead up to Nadioc week our educators have been having discussions with the children about the culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This was a great opportunity for children to explore learning about dreamtime stories.
Children in the JK2 room were able to take inspiration from a dreamtime story " How the birds got their colour" to participate in a creative art experience. Children are able to contribute to classroom discussions about key parts of the story. Understanding that the crow in the story wasn't a good friend to the bird, therefore not receiving any colour. The crow remained black. Extending on these conversations our educators set up an are experience for the children to create their own colourful birds.

Our Kinder children have been busy taking care of their veggie garden over the past month. Earlier in the week the children were able to harvest some fresh veggies and have a discussion about what they would make using the fresh produce. The children decided to make a Bokchoy stir fry that they enjoyed for lunch, and also they made fresh salad wraps for afternoon tea using the crunchy lettuce they picked! What a great achievement for the Kinder children.🥬🥬

In the Jk2 room we continually find interesting ways to challenge children’s thinking, we combined science and art together and learnt about gravity this week. We learnt that gravity is a force that pulls things to the centre of the ground. Gravity help us stay on the path. Extending from this educators set up a fun activity , which saw paper laid down on the ground , two paint brushes tided on a string, that were attached to the ceiling .
We took off our shoes and socks and set them aside. It was now time to get started . Dipping the brushes into water down paint , children were asked hold onto the brush , with all of their strength children pushed the brushes. Which caused the paint brushes to swing from side to side, creating an immediate pattern on the floor creating some beautiful art work.

Our Pre Kinder children got messy with their sensory play this week!

Our educators put out some shaving cream with some food dye drops and paper on the table giving children the opportunity to use their imagination and decide what to create with it.

The children were quick to gravitate to this experience, they put their smocks on and then picked up the paper, they put the paper onto the cream and squished it around seeing what colours and designs they could create on their paper, they also lovey squishing the cream and feeling the smooth texture between their fingers.

~ Celebrating Ramandan ~

Ramadan is the ninth month on the Islamic calendar, which marks important holidays and events for Muslims (people who practice Islam). During Ramadan people fast, or refrain from eating and drinking while it's light outside. In Junior Kinder 1, children learnt about Ramadan watching an educational video that informed them about travellers who used to walk along the desert trade routes, which they navigated using the position of the moon and stars🌙

~ Anzac Day Excursion ~

On Friday our kindergarten class went on a walking excursion to the 'Reflective Pond' in the Woodlea community. The children did a great job at walking through our community on the Walk of Honour, leading to the Reflective Pond. When they arrived, they placed the wreath that they had made and participated in a minute silence to thank and pay respects to the soldiers.

This was a great opportunity for our children to learn about the significance of ANZAC day and we are very thankful to our three parent volunteers for coming along.

Lest We Forget.
