Pre school have been learning about autumn.
We went on an environmental walk to see if we could find different coloured leaves
and we talked about the different changes we could see.
Language used by the children on our walk included massive, small, green.
On the way we collected different natural objects to take back to nursery to practice our mark making skills.

In a group they talked about what they would need to make their perfume.
The items were collected and placed on the table with a variety of resources to help them create their perfume.
The children worked together using a variety of techniques like cutting, pouring, and mixing to create their very own brand of Natterjacks perfume.

The children shared their own knowledge with each other about vegetables and how they they grow.
Our cauliflowers have finally grown so we decided to dig them up.
The children used a variety of mathematical language like big, medium and small to describe the different sizes that they could see.
The children were asked if they knew were we can get cauliflowers from here are some of their ideas :-, farm shop, supermarket and amazon.
Using a sawing motion the children used their knife to cut them from their stalk before taking them inside to wash them ready to be cooked for our lunch tomorrow we can't wait.

Using the childrens recipes we then created a range of different flavors, the children enjoyed coming up with names for them all. "The green one" "pinky winky" and "purples".
