What do we think about this Mummies and Daddies???
Apparently this research suggests that baby classes, in particular baby signing, is not so good for our babies development. And can lead to 'stressed' parents.
Obviously I wholeheartedly disagree with this article!!! From my own personal experience of signing with my babies, I know that my life was definitely made easier by the fact that Flossy and Thomas could tell me what they needed with signs long before they had the words to do so verbally. If anything, it made my life LESS stressful with happy babies who felt understood and connected.
Signing brought me many happy memories that I will treasure forever. Like the time Thomas saw a huge St Bernard in the park and signed 'bear'! It strengthened our bond and brought us even closer together,
As a whole I think all baby classes are important for mums. It gets us out of the house, meeting new friends and helps us to realise that we are not alone on the exhausting, crazy, joyous, roller coaster journey that is parenthood!
I would love to hear your thoughts?! :) x x
From signing to 'sensory': can trendy baby classes really boost a child's development?
