A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Sixth Form Open Evening last night! 😎

On a very warm evening, it was lovely to welcome both familiar faces and new families, and to have the opportunity to share everything our Sixth Form has to offer.

The evening concluded with guided tours of our Sixth Form Centre, led by our fantastic Lower Sixth students. They are the very best example of everything we value at St George’s – confident, welcoming and full of enthusiasm. We couldn't be prouder of the way they represented the College.

Our Nursery children were delighted to welcome fathers, grandfathers and other family members to our Father's Day Story CafΓ© at the Junior School.

The children loved sharing stories with their special guests before getting creative – making magical potions, building rocket ships and decorating delicious biscuits. They even transformed themselves (and their family members!) into tigers with face paint. 🐯

As we celebrate Father's Day, we would like to wish all our wonderful dads and father figures a very happy day and say thank you for all that you do. ❀️

Our Lower Sixth students have had a fantastic Enrichment Week at the College, learning new skills and exploring life beyond St George's!

From changing a tyre and learning the basics of car mechanics, to cooking a pasta dish from scratch with a professional chef, students enjoyed a range of hands-on experiences. They also took part in self-defence sessions and explored the world of start-up businesses, as well as learning how to write an effective CV.

Students also took part in a Q&A with a panel of recent Old Georgians, who shared their experiences of university, apprenticeships and gap years. Their advice was simple: choose a path that makes you happy, be open to new opportunities and don't be afraid to try different things.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the week such a success. It has been wonderful to see our students gaining confidence and developing valuable skills for the future.

We've had a splash-tastic week at the Junior School with our Swimming Galas! 🏊

From Year 2 to Year 6, our pupils have been making waves in our lovely school pool, showing fantastic effort and huge amounts of House spirit!

A huge well done to all our swimmers, and a big thank you to the staff and families who cheered them on.

Join Mr Jameson, Junior School Headmaster, for the latest tale in our Bedtime Story series. This week it's a story for our younger children, the Bug Who Wanted a Hug, and tells of Bob the Water Beetle's adventures as he sets out to find a friend.

We are delighted to share that our College Jazz Band has been awarded a Silver Trophy at the UK Schools Music Festival! πŸŽ΅πŸ†

The festival is a new national competition celebrating outstanding school ensembles and soloists from across the UK. Performing in the Senior Category, our talented musicians impressed the judges with their performance of the jazz classic Stolen Moments.

Congratulations to all of our performers on this fantastic achievement, and thank you to our dedicated music staff for their support, encouragement and expertise throughout the journey. πŸ‘

Our Green Travel Challenge at the Junior School is in full swing this June! πŸ’š

Whether you're walking, cycling, scooting, travelling by bus, or arriving in an electric car, every greener journey you make to school helps reduce traffic, improve air quality, and support a healthier environment for everyone.

Don't forget to keep logging your journeys. At the end of the term, we'll be celebrating the classes that have made the biggest difference with special awards and recognition. πŸ†

Keep up the great work, and encourage family and friends to travel a little greener too. Together, we can make a positive impact on our environment! 🌍

Members of our Junior School Care Home Visits club were joined by members of the Lower Years Choir, for a special visit to Whitely Village Care Home.

The children delighted the residents with a selection of songs (with enthusiastic dance moves!), big smiles and beautifully handmade cards they had created at school. 🎢

It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to connect with members of the local community and share some joy. We are very proud of the kindness they showed throughout the visit.

We wanted to say a massive thank you to our amazing Parents' Association for organising such a fantastic Summer Fair yesterday. β˜€οΈ

Events like these take months of planning, hard work and dedication and we are incredibly grateful to all the volunteers who gave their time to make the event such a success.

Thank you also to everyone who attended, supported, donated and helped. It was wonderful to see so many families coming together enjoying the celebrations.

Have a fantastic weekend!
