The Yates School of Dancing

The Yates School of Dancing The Yates School Of Dancing is a friendly, family run dance school based in Addlestone and has been established for over 40 years.

We offer classes in Tap, Ballet, Theatre Craft and Modern Jazz for children aged 3yrs-18yrs as well as Adult Tap. All teachers are fully qualified with the IDTA and are DBS checked. Opportunities to take IDTA exams from Pre- Primary Grades to Advanced levels including medals are taken throughout the year. Our bi-annual dance show "Step In Time" is a highlight in our calendar, which students, paren

ts and teachers alike look forward to. Dancers showing potential also have opportunities to join our award winning competition team dancing in dance festivals around the South East of England.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that 5 of our dancers have received nominations for the IDTA Theatre Dance Awards 2027! 🏆✨

🌟 Keira — 97 marks for Advanced Two Tap
🌟 Nancy — 95 marks for Advanced Two Tap
🌟 Seren — 93 marks for Grade 4 Tap
🌟 Ailish — 92 marks for Grade 4 Tap
🌟 Amelia — TWO nominations!
• 92 marks for Grade 4 Tap
• 92 marks for Grade 5 Theatre Craft

To put this achievement into perspective, only the top 10% of candidates across the country receive a nomination. 🇬🇧✨

So to have 5 dancers representing The Yates School of Dancing is absolutely phenomenal! 💙

Today was Keira's last dance with us... and it's hard to put into words just how emotional that feels. 💙

It feels like only yesterday you were walking through our doors as a little girl, and now you're leaving as a talented, kind and inspiring young woman. Watching your journey over the years has been an absolute privilege. We couldn't be prouder of everything you've achieved, and we know Performers will be incredibly lucky to have you.

Thank you for the memories, the laughter, and for leaving such a special mark on our dance family.

We'll miss you more than you'll ever know, but we'll always be your biggest cheerleaders. Wherever life takes you next, never stop believing in yourself.
