This week on Way Back Wednesday, we're travelling back to 1985! Inspired by an article recently sent to us by Julian Shea (OG '90) about St George's choir's performance at the Savoy Hotel in January 1985, celebrating Home Pride Flour's 21st anniversary. Who remembers Fred the Flour Grader?! 🍞

A warm welcome to Mr William Parks (OG '21) who joined St George's in September as our new Teacher of English.

🌟 Introducing Mr Parks, our newest Teacher of English! 🌟

We’re delighted to welcome Mr Parks, who joined St George’s in September. As an Old Georgian (2021), he brings a unique perspective, inspiring our students to see how English connects to their modern interests.

With a passion for exploring the link between ancient myths and modern storytelling—and a soft spot for a good cheeseburger 🍔—Mr Parks is already sparking creativity in the classroom.

He’s also written a fascinating paper on the benefits of taking English as an A Level, which you can read on our website here: https://ow.ly/skra50UAVUz

The College's production of Guys and Dolls last week was absolutely phenomenal! A huge thank you to everyone who attended the Over Sixties Lunch in June and helped to fund the smoke machine used in the show by participating in the 'Heads and Tails' game.

St George's College celebrated Founder's Day with a special Mass led by Father Martin, who spoke about Constant van Crombrugghe's mission to support and educate the underprivileged. The service was beautifully accompanied by St George's choir. This Founder's Day, we hope to enhance our Music Facilities at the College with the latest equipment.
