Yesterday, we said farewell to our Year 11 students at their Leavers' Assembly.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the event so special, including the students who performed with their bands, and Alex, who wowed us with a fantastic dance performance. We hope Year 11 enjoyed celebrating together and, of course, enjoyed the leavers' video!
A special thank you goes to Mr. Sayce, who is also leaving us this year. Since joining Acle Academy in 2018, he has played a huge role in supporting and guiding our Year 11 students, and we are incredibly grateful for all he has done.
Finally, thank you to parents and carers for your continued support throughout your child's journey with us.
We wish all of our Year 11 students every success for the future. We look forward to seeing them at Prom tonight and to celebrating their achievements with them again on Results Day.

Year 7 Team-Building Morning at the Nancy Oldfield Trust
Earlier this month, twelve Year 7 boys took part in a confidence and team-building morning at the Nancy Oldfield Trust in Neatishead.
During the visit, the students learnt how to sail small boats in pairs before completing a kayak journey through the Broads from Barton Pontoon, where the boats were based. For many of the boys, it was their first experience of both the Norfolk Broads and being out on the water.
The students embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, demonstrating excellent teamwork, resilience and determination throughout the morning. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and gained valuable confidence through trying new activities.
Our sincere thanks go to the Nancy Oldfield Trust for welcoming our group and providing such a fantastic opportunity and facility for our students.

For several years, we have been working to "re-float the school boat", raising funds through the school walk and seeking advice and support from members of the local boat restoration community.
We are delighted that an exciting new opportunity has now arisen, enabling a small group of pupils to learn traditional boat-building and maintenance skills while working alongside trained professionals at Hunter's Yard in Ludham.
The pupils selected for this project have chosen Product Design as one of their option subjects for next year. Mr. Green, Head of Faculty for Creative Industries, felt they would benefit enormously from the experience of working in a professional workshop environment, developing practical skills and techniques that will support their future studies and qualifications.
The eight pupils involved have been divided into two groups of four. On alternate Tuesdays, during their double Technology lesson, they travel by minibus to Hunter's Yard to work on Elf, helping to restore this important part of the school's history.
We look forward to sharing updates and photographs of their progress over the coming weeks.
