Today we say goodbye to our Assistant Principal for Progress and Achievement, Mr. Sayce, as he leaves Acle Academy.

Throughout his time with us, Mr Sayce has gone above and beyond for our students, always putting their education, wellbeing and success at the heart of everything he does. His passion for History has inspired countless young people, while his warmth, kindness and genuine care have made a lasting impact on our whole school community.

An exceptional teacher and leader, Mr Sayce has been a valued colleague, mentor and friend. His dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment to Acle Academy will be greatly missed by students, staff and families alike.

Thank you for everything you have done for our school. We wish you every success and happiness in your next chapter - and who knows, perhaps one day we'll have the pleasure of welcoming you back.

Students were delighted to take part in a rewards trip to the Hippodrome in recognition of their consistent hard work and positive contribution to school life throughout the year. A truly memorable day and a well-deserved reward for a great year!

Curriculum Enhancement Week – Wet and Wild

Students on the Wet and Wild pathway enjoyed three days of outdoor adventure, taking part in a range of exciting water sports activities.

Over the course of the week, students rotated between paddleboarding at Wolterton Hall, water sports at Whitlingham Adventure and sailing with Hunter's Yard on the Norfolk Broads. Each activity gave students the opportunity to develop new skills, build confidence and enjoy the outdoors in a fun and supportive environment.

Throughout the pathway, students embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, demonstrating resilience, teamwork and determination while creating plenty of lasting memories.

It was a fantastic week of adventure and a brilliant opportunity for students to experience a variety of activities on and around the water.

Curriculum Enhancement Week – Space Explorers

Students on the Space Explorers pathway enjoyed an exciting three days of scientific discovery, exploration and hands-on engineering.

The week included inspiring visits to the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum in London, where students explored everything from cutting-edge technology to the history of our planet. They also visited the National Space Centre in Leicester, taking part in a planetarium session focused on astronaut education and an interactive workshop, Our Earth Under Threat.

Back at school, students put their creativity and engineering skills to the test by designing and building their own 2-litre bottle rockets. Working in teams, they refined their designs before launching them in a friendly competition, with some spectacular results.

Congratulations to Lola and Brooke, whose brilliantly engineered Bob the Minion-themed rocket was crowned this year's winning design.

A huge thank you to Mr. Field and Mrs. Sharman for organising such an inspiring and memorable pathway, which gave students the opportunity to experience science beyond the classroom while developing teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills.

Curriculum Enhancement Week – Shadows of Justice

Students on the Shadows of Justice pathway stepped back in time to explore the history of crime and punishment during Curriculum Enhancement Week.

The pathway included visits to Norwich Castle and the Tower of London, where students discovered how justice has evolved over the centuries. From medieval prisons and infamous prisoners to royal history and famous landmarks, the visits brought history to life and provided fascinating insights into Britain's legal past.

It was a memorable three days that combined history, learning and exploration, giving students the opportunity to experience some of the country's most iconic historic sites.

Curriculum Enhancement Week – Out of This World

Students on the Out of This World pathway enjoyed three action-packed days during Curriculum Enhancement Week.

The adventure began with a visit to Pleasurewood Hills, where students enjoyed a variety of rides and attractions. They then spent a day at Africa Alive, learning more about wildlife and conservation while seeing animals from around the world. The pathway finished with a trip to Go Ape, where students challenged themselves on the high ropes course, showing determination, teamwork and plenty of courage.

It was a fantastic three days, filled with fun, new experiences and lasting memories.
