A-Level Geography students went out on their final fieldwork data collection day in two groups earlier this term. 📝📚

🏖️ The first visited the sand dune ecosystems of the Fylde coast to investigate the impact of human activity on natural vegetation development.

🏙️ The second group travelled to Manchester to collect data on the factors that impact sense of place and environmental quality across different wards of the city.

Both groups will now use the skills and data they collected in their all-important NEA assessment, which counts for 20% of their total A-level grade. 🎓📈

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome former students Cameron, Tom and Maya back to Sixth Form for the launch of our Pathway to Apprenticeships Enrichment programme.

Tom and Maya have secured Audit Degree Apprenticeships with KPMG, while Cameron has started a Retail & Business Management Degree Apprenticeship with Morrisons. They were able to share their experience of successfully researching, applying and interviewing for these competitive opportunities with current students.

We are extremely grateful for their time and wish them all the very best in their endeavours. 🤩
