What a fantastic day we had yesterday at our local competition! 🥋👏 🥇
A huge thank you to all the competitors, The standard of competition was outstanding, but what stood out even more was the respect and sportsmanship shown by every competitor, coach, and supporter.
We’re incredibly proud of everyone who stepped onto the mats and gave it their all. Win or lose, every competitor represented their club with heart and determination.
A massive thank you also goes to our volunteers, referees, officials, and everyone working behind the scenes who helped the day run so smoothly. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without you.
Congratulations to all who competed, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for the next one! 🥋💪

A special message from professor Dixon “A huge thank you to everyone who officiated, supported, and volunteered at the Masters of Martial Arts Annual Championships.
Events like this simply would not be possible without the dedication, hard work, and commitment of so many people working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.
A special mention must go to Sensei Colin, who worked tirelessly collecting equipment and mats and transporting them to the venue the day before the event. His efforts were invaluable in ensuring everything was ready for the championships.
Thank you also to Sensei Phil for bringing along the pop-up shop and helping to enhance the experience for competitors and spectators alike.
Last, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to Sensei Dean and Sensei Kayleigh, who were instrumental in putting the entire competition together. From organising competitor entries, grades, and weight categories to ensuring fair competition throughout, their attention to detail and hard work resulted in a championship that ran impeccably smoothly from start to finish.

After a full and thorough inspection, our independent mat adjudicator has officially approved the mats for tomorrow’s championships… 👶🥋✅ We are all set up and can’t wait to see everyone for an exciting day of competition! Please make sure you arrive in time to sign in, competition starts at 9 ⏰

✅ Don’t forget to bring:
💧 Plenty of water
🥪 A packed lunch/snacks (please eat in the lunch hall to the side of the main hall)
📘 Budo passes
🥋 A clean uniform

If you have entered continuous fighting you will need mandatory safety equipment
😬 Gum shield
🥊 Gloves
🦵 Shin guards
🛡️ Groin guards (for boys)

Please double check all equipment before leaving home to help the day run smoothly, you won’t be allowed to compete if you haven’t got all your safety equipment!

💜 MUMS SELF-DEFENCE COURSE 💜

A huge congratulations to all of our amazing mums who completed their Self-Defence Course and received their certificates on Saturday! 👏🎉

These ladies showed fantastic commitment, determination, and a willingness to step outside their comfort zones to learn valuable self-defence and personal safety skills.

Not only did they learn practical techniques to help keep themselves safe, but they also built confidence, awareness, and self-belief along the way. 💪✨

We’re incredibly proud of every single participant and everything they achieved. The certificates they received represent not just new skills, but the confidence and empowerment they’ve gained throughout the journey.

Well done, ladies—you should all be very proud of yourselves! ❤️

🐉 LITTLE DRAGONS SAFETY NUNCHAKU COURSE 🐉

What an amazing afternoon on Saturday! Over 20 Little Dragons had a fantastic time learning how to use safety nunchaku while developing their confidence, coordination, focus, and dexterity in a fun and supportive environment. 💪😊

It’s always great to see our young martial artists challenging themselves, learning new skills, and having so much fun along the way!

If your child is aged 4–7 years, we’d love to welcome them to one of our Little Dragons classes.

Great to see so many new and familiar faces yesterday at the British Ju Jitsu’s Referee and Officials course in Walsall. Great catch up with our Ju-jitsu family from all over the country.
