British Ju Jitsu Goes From Strength to Strength!

On 3rd May 2026, the British Ju Jitsu National Governing Body Referee & Officials Congress took place at the Village Hotel, Walsall — and it was a powerful reminder of how BJJAGB continues to grow, evolve, and raise standards across the board.

With over 70 participants in attendance, this was one of our most successful congresses to date. We welcomed new candidates, officials renewing their licences, and experienced referees taking part in a refresher course — all committed to continuous development.

The day was structured across three dedicated classrooms, allowing groups to be divided appropriately and ensuring focused, high-quality learning at every level. This professional approach highlights exactly why BJJAGB continues to go from strength to strength

A real highlight of the day was seeing candidates achieve their next level of progression — moving from Desk Officials (Striped Tie) to Blue Tie, and on to the prestigious Senior Referee Red Tie. These symbolic tie presentations represent hard work, dedication, and the ongoing commitment to excellence within our officiating team.
