We’ve got lots of new followers. Welcome! 👋

A very warm welcome to our wonderful school community here on Facebook. We’re so glad you’ve found us!

If you’re a parent of a child starting with us this September, an extra special welcome to you ☺️. We’re really looking forward to getting to know you and your child. If you haven’t yet received a phone call or letter from us, please do get in touch – it may be that we don’t have the correct contact details.
You’ll soon be invited to join our private Class Dojo school account, where we share regular updates and a real insight into day-to-day life in our school.

One thing that always surprises visitors to our school is just how much space we have hidden behind the school! Our grounds are something we’re really proud of, and thanks to our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) approach, we make the most of every part of it – not just the playground. You can find out a little more about this here:
https://outdoorplayandlearning.org.uk/opal-programme/faq-for-parents/

If you’d ever like to come and have a look around, please don’t hesitate to get in touch . I’d be very happy to show you around our school. We currently only have one remaining place in Reception for September, along with a small number of places in other year groups.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.

***Every Day is Open Day at Rishton Methodist School!***

We are more than happy for you to come and see our school, or pre school, at anytime. Please pop in, or give us a call, and I would be proud to show you around our wonderful school.

We consistently work to the highest standards, with high expectations and give every child the personalised learning experience which they need to thrive. This is offered every day of the school year and you can come and see this for yourself.

I would recommend visiting every school you have in mind before choosing a school for your child. You really do get a feel for the school, grounds and the whole environment when you visit in person.

I look forward to seeing you soon,
Mrs Higgens and the Rishton Methodist Team.

We are very proud to announce that we have been awarded The Silver School Games Mark Award!
This is a fantastic achievement and really shows the commitment, which we have here at Rishton Methodist School, to sport and being active. We achieve this through our competitive PE scheme, OPAL play times , lunch sport clubs and increasing competitive inter-school sports!

⭐We have some places left for September at our brand-new pre-school for children aged three and four! ⭐

Why choose us?...

-Our provision is brand new and is inside the school building. This means your child has access to our extensive school grounds, our forest school area as well as their own special pre-school outdoor area. Have a look at our page and website school grounds😊. https://www.rishton.lancsngfl.ac.uk/

-We are an OPAL school! https://outdoorplayandlearning.org.uk/🛝

- Our nursery class is just for those children of nursery age. We don’t mix it with our Reception class so the curriculum is focused and individualised just for pre-school children. ☺️

-We are proud that our School is ‘2024 Step Outside into Learning’ accredited. We take as much learning outside as possible! 🌳

-We have dedicated and skilled staff members👩🏼‍🦰👩🏼 who are experienced in both pre-school, and school life, to ensure your child is prepared and ready for starting in Reception class.

-Our School has just received a glowing Ofsted report where we proud to be good in all areas! They recognised that school has high ambitions for pupils’ academic and personal success.🥇

-Our recent church school SIAMs report recognised that ‘Positive relationships and partnerships, rooted in Christian love, permeate the life of the school. 💒

-We have places for the Government funded 15 and 30 hour places and privately paid places. ⭐

Please get in touch if you would like to come and see us in action. We would love to show you around.
