Throughout June and July Lancashire Adult Learning's Health & Social Care team will be delivering workshops in a variety of different subjects under the title of 'Show Up, Skill Up'.

Subjects include:
Autism
ADHD
Dementia
Infection Prevention and Control
Drug and Alcohol Awareness
Eating Disorders

Plus, many more. Full details are in the attached post.

Please share, we want as many people as possible to make the most of this opportunity! We know many of our regular students at Waterside have been waiting for courses to restart, attending a workshop (or two) would be a good starting point.

The workshops will provide an excellent starting point for anyone interested in developing a career in these areas. Students can select one workshop or a variety of different sessions to allow them to develop new knowledge and skills and build their CV!

In celebration of Learning at Work Week, Lancashire Adult Learning have put together a series of online Health and Social Care courses to enhance knowledge and to upskill and provide a gateway for anyone looking to work and develop a career in this vital sector.

Details of the available courses are in this post. A full list and enrolment links are also available via the Lancashire Adult Learning website below. Courses are free for anyone within the eligibility criteria of being unemployed & claiming an eligible benefit or working and earning less than £17,000pa. But some courses are free for any resident of Lancashire. Details listed on the website.

This FREE online short course will introduce students to working in the Health and Social Care sector. This course is ideal preparation for those individuals wishing to progress to the Hub from Home Health and Social Care Programme with aspirations of working within the healthcare and health and social care sectors.
