Target Tuition

At Target Tuition we have been running Entrance Exam mock tests for over ten years.
Our mock tests give pupils the chance to experience sitting all three papers (maths, English and verbal reasoning) in exam conditions.
It is great practice for the real thing as they will know what to expect and will be reassured that they can do it!

For each mock test we offer:

• Exam tips and techniques
• Our own, professionally written GL
style exam papers which are copyrighted to us
• Refreshment breaks which usually turn into a fun ‘getting to know you’ event
• Sympathetic, experienced staff to look after your child and help manage any nerves
• A report within 5 days of the test

Tests are held at our centre in Clitheroe.

Our summer mocks are taking place on Saturday 1st July and 15th July. Places are limited.

☀️ We hope you’ve all had a great Coronation weekend! We wanted to take a minute to tell you a few things about ourselves and about Sensation, we’ve had lots of messages with questions and support already so thank-you all so much!

⭐️ A little bit about us

We’re a family run team. The brains behind the sensory gym is Carol, she’s been a teacher for over 30 years in primary schools and at her Target Tuition education centres in Clayton le Moors and Clitheroe. Seeing a lot of children come through with SEN and sensory issues and finding ways to support them in education, along with seeing my own two autistic children struggle with sensory challenges and finding ways to manage these, has been the inspiration for us to open a sensory gym. We have sadly found a lack of services to help with sensory needs and hope that this can be a real lifeline to those who need it!

🌈 Who is Sensation for?

The sensory gym will initially be open to children aged 4-12, although we hope to offer sessions for younger and older age groups in the future. The gym focuses on activities and movements that particularly help children with sensory difficulties that often affect those with SEN such as autism or ADHD. The gym will offer play equipment that helps children regulate their bodies and increase their tolerance to sensory issues.

We are however an inclusive gym! We are welcoming and open to all whatever your ability, you do not need to have a diagnosis of anything at all, it will be a great place for your children to come and have lots of fun and will be beneficial for the development of any child.

⭐️ A small sensory room with bubble tube, fibre optics, comfy bean bags and disco balls.
⭐️We will also have packaged snacks, hot and cold drinks available to buy.

🌈 Where are we?

We are at number 43 Market Street in Church, Accrington. You will see us as you drive towards Oswaldtwistle, the Baby and Toddler Sensory Hub is upstairs in the building. We’re not far from the motorway, Hyndburn Sports Centre and Oswaldtwistle Mills, and we have a convenient car park you can park in.

🌈Things to know:

When our website is live, there will be sessions available to book online and the numbers will be limited so that it is safe and not overcrowded. They will be free play sessions supervised by the accompanying parent or adult.

The gym will be available for private hire to schools, groups, professionals or individuals and we will also offer exclusive hire for parties too.
