Our Year 5/6 children have had their annual Careers Day today and what a day it's been! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Thank you to the children who came dressed as a career of their choice - your outfits have been AMAZING! ๐Ÿ™‚

We kick-started the day with an inspirational presentation from Miss Kauser, who shared her own education and career journey, as well as her overseas experience whilst teaching in Tanzania and Cape Town.

We then went into our classes to do lots of career related games and fun activities.

In the afternoon, we had Accrington and Rossendale College in.

A special thanks to Melanie Wright for helping to organise these sessions, as well as her team:

Lorraine Bennett from the Law, Justice and Protective Services
Tasnim Desai, Aimee Hamer and Kirsty Mottram from the Family Learning (Lal) Team facilitating Health and Wellbeing activities
Melanie Wright with the Hair and Beauty station alongside the Schools Liaison Team.

We hope today is a reminder to all our children at Hyndburn Park Primary School that, "If you can dream it, you can do it." โ€“ Walt Disney

KS1 had a lovely day today! We came to school dressed as 'people who help us' for our Florence Nightingale workshops๐Ÿ’ก

We have had a enjoyable day learning all about who she was and why she is still such an integral part of our History.

Class 5 have had a brilliant time at Adventure Hyndburn Forest School & Community Groups this afternoon. We started the afternoon with a scavenger hunt, where we located different items we might find in the woodlands.

We then used our imagination to create picture freeze frames with all the items we had collected ๐ŸŒณ

We even enjoyed some yummy hot chocolate and got to swing on the hammock during free play. The sun decided to make an appearance too! โ˜€๏ธ

Our Year 5 FBA children attended the conference today at the University of Lancashire in Preston ๐Ÿ“š

Weโ€™ve had an absolutely thrilling morning finding out which one of our five books was the winning entry for Group E.

The winning title was The Fairy Tale Fan Club by Richard Ayoade ๐Ÿ†

We also got to meet two real-life authors - Alex Atkinson writer of The Cinderman and Ramzee who is the writer and illustrator of The Cheat Book.

We were inspired to hear about and their journey into writing and the advice they shared โœ๏ธ

Thank you to our group of 7 children who represented Hyndburn Park Primary School so well! Enjoy looking through some of our pictures โ˜บ๏ธ

KS1 have had a marvellous Mamma Mia day today! We all came into school wearing red, green or white to represent Italy! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

We then spent the afternoon reflecting all that we have learnt this half term, playing games, having an Italy quiz, listening to Italian music and making Italian bracelets.

What a superb way to end our Theme! Take a look at some of our class photographs ๐Ÿ™‚
