Little Explorers Daycare

Yesterday, one of our children thoroughly enjoyed completing a variety of puzzles and showed great determination and concentration throughout the activity. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they successfully worked through each puzzle, carefully matching pieces and solving problems independently. 🤩

Puzzle activities provide many valuable learning opportunities for children. They help to develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills. Completing puzzles also encourages patience, perseverance, and attention to detail, while giving children a sense of achievement when they reach their goal.
I am so proud to see how well my Little Explorer stayed focused, challenged himself, and celebrate his success. Well done! 🧩🌈⭐

What a wonderful Eid al-Adha celebration we had with the children yesterday! 🌙✨

The children had an amazing time taking part in lots of fun activities, including dancing, musical statues (with a little bit of cheeky cheating from one child that gave everyone a good laugh! 😄), and creating their own beautiful henna-inspired designs.

After all the fun and excitement, everyone enjoyed a delicious traditional dinner of chicken pilau rice and vegetable samosas, which certainly filled a few hungry tummies! 🍛🥟

To make the day even more special, each child took home their Eid crafts along with some goodies to remember the celebration.

It was lovely to see happy smiles, laughter, creativity, and friendship throughout the day. Thank you to all the children for making it such a memorable Eid celebration.🌈⭐

As it was a little quieter on Friday, we enjoyed a lovely girly day together while our youngest napped. 💅💖

We had lots of fun playing nail salon, using nail polish to paint the nails on hands we had drawn. With parental permission, we then painted one of our little one's nails, which she absolutely loved! To finish off our pamper session, we styled her hair, leaving her feeling very proud of her new look. 🥰

A wonderful day filled with creativity, smiles, and confidence-building. 🌈⭐

Our children have been busy exploring inset puzzles today! 🧩

Inset puzzles may look simple, but they provide so many valuable learning opportunities for young children. As they carefully pick up, turn, and place each piece, they are developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration.

Puzzles also encourage problem-solving, critical thinking, and perseverance as children work out where each piece belongs. Completing a puzzle independently helps build confidence and gives children a wonderful sense of achievement. ⭐

It has been lovely to watch the children challenge themselves, celebrate their successes, and enjoy learning through play.🌈⭐

It's been another fun-filled week at our setting, packed with learning, laughter, and plenty of opportunities for our children to explore and grow. From creative activities and sensory play to outdoor adventures and free play, there has been something for everyone to enjoy. 🦸🏻‍♀️👩🏻‍🍳👷🏻‍♂️🔨🚗🧩👶🏻🍼🍦

I love watching the children develop new skills, build friendships, and gain confidence through their everyday experiences. Their smiles, curiosity, and enthusiasm make every day special!

Our Little Explorers have been busy creating some very special crafts for an exciting event coming up soon! 🥰

We’ve been getting ahead and completing them a little earlier than usual, as some of our children will be attending School visits over the coming weeks!

Now we’re keeping our fingers crossed that the weather perks up so we can make the most of some outdoor fun and enjoy the lovely sunshine together! ☀️🌿

We were a little quiter than normal today, with some of our children being off, so we decided to make the most of it and take a trip to Playtime Oswaldtwistle.☺️

The girls had a fantastic time exploring, climbing, sliding, and burning off lots of energy. It was lovely to see their confidence grow as they explored in a new environment, made friends, and enjoyed spending time together.❤️

🦖What a lovely first day back after half term! 🦖

Today we celebrated National Dinosaur Day with lots of fun, hands-on activities. The children enjoyed sorting coloured dinosaurs using pincers, helping to develop their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

The children also became dinosaur rescuers, carefully untangling trapped dinosaurs, which encouraged problem-solving and strengthened their finger muscles, followed by an episode of Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs, which sparked lots of excitement and conversation about their favourite dinosaurs and adventures.

To finish our dinosaur-themed day, the children got creative by using dinosaurs to make colourful paint prints, exploring different patterns and textures while expressing their creativity. 🐾🎨

It has been wonderful to see the children so engaged, enthusiastic, and excited to learn. We look forward to many more adventures this term! 🦖🌈⭐

☀️What a lovely half-term break it has been! ☀️

I've really enjoyed spending quality time with my own children and making the most of the beautiful warm weather. It's been wonderful to slow down, make memories, and enjoy some family time together.❤️

Now, I'm feeling refreshed and excited to be back with the children this week. I honestly can't believe we're already in the Summer Term, where has this year gone?!

I also wanted to wish a happy Eid to everyone who celebrated. I hope you had a wonderful time with your loved ones and made lots of special memories. 🌙🐑
