Following on from reading the book That’s Not My Squirrel, we decided to get creative and made our very own little squirrels using dauber pens to stamp, dot and create our own furry friends. So much fun, creativity and fine motor practice all in one!🐿️🍂🤎

🍂🐿️ Squirrel story time! 🍂🐿️

We’ve been enjoying the story book That’s Not My Squirrel… this week. 🐿️

The girls have loved exploring the touch-and-feel pages, feeling all the different textures and guessing what might come next.

A little story, lots of sensory fun and plenty of squirrelly smiles! 🐿️🤎

We have had a lovely morning at Brave Parent & Toddler Group with lots of exploring, playing, singing and making new friends! 🥰

The girls had a fantastic time playing alongside their friends from Rainbow daycare. It was also lovely to bump into a few local childminders and their mindees.

We can’t wait to visit again! 🌈⭐️

We’re continuing our autumn theme by enjoying some lovely autumnal books 📚🍂 and then getting creative with our little fingers! 🎨🖐️

The children had lots of fun finger painting their very own autumn leaves, using all those beautiful autumn colours. 🍁🧡💛🤎

A little bit of reading, a little bit of messy play, and lots of autumnal fun! 🍂✨

🌈 Learning through play! 🌈

The girls are absolutely loving this little ring stacker at the moment, while they’re having lots of fun, they’re learning so much along the way!

🔴 Colour recognition
🔢 Counting the rings
📏 Learning about size and ordering
🤝 Sharing and taking turns
🧠 Developing concentration and problem-solving skills
✋ Building fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

Who knew a few colourful rings could provide so much learning.Play really is the best way to learn!🌈⭐️

🍂🍁 Autumn adventures! 🍁🍂

As we’ve been focusing on all things autumn, we headed to the park on Thursday for an autumn scavenger hunt! We found lots sticks and colourful leaves, including some lovely crunchy ones to scrunch and explore.🍂🪵

Along the way, we Spotted quite a few cheeky squirrels 🐿️ (which one of my little explores thought were mouse!😂), before we headed over to feed the ducks using the park’s duck-feed dispenser. 🦆

We then enjoyed a play in the park with our friends from Leanne's Little Learners - Childminding , and The Meadows Childcare, before heading home for dinner and a well-earned nap!

What a lovely autumn morning, and end to our fun filled week!🍁🍂🤎

This week, We have been learning all about the beautiful season of Autumn. We have enjoyed reading Little Acorn and Meet the Season: Autumn, talking about all the changes we can see around us as the seasons change.🍁🍂📚

We then got creative by painting our very own handprint acorns 🌰, and autumn leaves using all those gorgeous autumnal colours reds, oranges, yellows and browns. 🍂🎨

A lovely, messy and colourful way to welcome Autumn! 🍁🍂🤎
