Our Year 10 Art pupils recently enjoyed a fantastic study visit to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park as part of their GCSE coursework. 🎨
They spent the day sketching, photographing and analysing some of the incredible artwork on display throughout the park, with a particular focus on the work of renowned sculptors Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. ✏️📸
The visit provided valuable inspiration for their own creative projects and gave students the opportunity to experience world-class art in a unique outdoor setting. 🌳
The glorious sunshine certainly helped make it an even more enjoyable day! 🌞
A wonderful opportunity to bring learning to life beyond the classroom and support their GCSE studies. 👏🎨
Head over to Facebook to view more from the day.

Our entire Year 10 cohort enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Royal Cheshire County Show, learning more about the vital role agriculture plays in the UK and making links to a wide range of subjects across the curriculum. 🚜🌾
From science and geography to business and beyond, pupils had the opportunity to explore how farming, food production, technology and sustainability impact our everyday lives. 🌍🔬📈
To help guide their learning, each pupil was provided with a booklet containing tasks to complete, questions to consider and recommendations for stalls, displays and events to visit throughout the day. 📝
The trip was a valuable opportunity to bring classroom learning to life, broaden students' understanding of the agricultural industry and discover the many career pathways connected to it. A brilliant day of learning beyond the classroom! 👏🌟

Despite the very un-June-like weather and plenty of rain, our Eco Group spent Thursday of last week hard at work filling our new planters with topsoil and planting a variety of herbs and plants to encourage biodiversity around the school grounds. 🌼🐝
The project will help create welcoming habitats for pollinators and other wildlife, while also enhancing our outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy. We're even hoping to use some of the herbs in Food Technology lessons in the future! 🌱🍴
A huge thank you to Brandon from Prospects Foundation for all of his guidance, support and expertise in helping bring this project to life. We can't wait to see everything grow over the coming months! 🌟

Today, following their final exam, our Year 11s gathered for one final Communion Service as they officially stood down from school. Led by Rev'd Toby Webber, it was a fitting and emotional way to mark the end of five memorable years at St Christopher's. ✝️
They have been a fantastic year group and we couldn't be prouder of everything they have achieved so far. We wish the Class of 2026 every success in their exam results and look forward to seeing where their next adventures take them. 🤩
