Wow what a fabulous few weeks we’ve had!
We’ve been learning all about jungle animals in week 1 and then followed this theme on with Tiger who came to tea in week 2! 🐅
The children really enjoyed learning all about jungle animals… we spoke about different types, what they sounded like, the difference in sizes between the animals and if we could move like them. We did lots of craft themed activities and even incorporated Father’s Day into our jungle theme.

We then enjoyed a week of activities around the story Tiger who came to tea. We enjoyed a picnic on international picnic day, craft using forks, tuff trays that look like tigers and much more. We especially enjoyed listening to the story at circle time and story time!

These past few weeks have really enhanced our development in all our areas of development and learning!! Well done everyone! You’ve all done brilliantly!

🍎🍌 Healthy Eating Fun! 🍓🥝

Last week our pre school have been learning all about healthy eating through a variety of exciting and hands-on activities!

The children enjoyed making their own delicious fruit smoothies, exploring different fruits and discussing why they are good for our bodies. They also took part in a healthy eating bingo game, helping them recognise a range of nutritious foods while developing their listening and matching skills.

Creativity was flowing as the children drew and coloured their favourite fruits, talking about colours, shapes and tastes. To finish our healthy eating theme, they created fantastic fruit face collages using different fruits to design unique and imaginative faces.

These activities helped to promote healthy lifestyle choices, develop fine motor skills, encourage communication and build confidence through play-based learning. Well done everyone! 🌟

🧸🌳 Teddy Bear Picnic Day 2026 🌳🧸

What a wonderful day our babies, toddlers, and preschool children have had celebrating Teddy Bear Picnic Day 2026! 🐻💛

The children brought along their favourite teddy bears and enjoyed a fun-filled picnic with their friends and their fur babies. The children enjoyed choosing a variety of foods and feeding there teddy’s some yummy food too.

It was lovely to see the children developing their social skills, imagination, and confidence while making happy memories with there friends and teddy bears.

This week in Baby Room, we have been learning all about vehicles! 🚗🚜✈️🚂

The babies have enjoyed exploring different types of transport through a variety of fun and engaging activities. We joined in vehicle-themed play, where the babies used cars, buses, trains, and trucks to develop their imagination and communication skills.

We explored how vehicles move and the sounds they make, encouraging lots of listening, language, and interaction. The babies also enjoyed creative activities, including painting and mark-making with vehicle toys, creating exciting tracks and patterns.

During our sensory play, the children investigated different textures while moving vehicles through water and messy play tuff trays.

We have been busy:

🚗 Listening to vehicle sounds during circle time and vehicle flash cards
🚗 Making snips in paper and completing shadow matching activities
🚗 Exploring boats in foamy water
🚗 Exploring vehicles in black paint and creating track marks
🚗 Exploring big and small diggers in cereals

Toddler Room ⭐️

This week we have focused on a room favourite book within the toddler room !
That story is… SUPER-TATO! 🥔
The children have loved continuing their healthy eating journey through their personal interest such as this story.

Some activities included:

🦸 Making our own super hero masks.
🥕 Buliding our own super-veggies.
🥔 Playing I-Spy to count the veggies we found and attempt to write them down to develop number recognition and pencil control
🥦vegetable tuff tray; filling and pouring into the peppers, mark making with the carrots, etc.
🍄‍🟫exploring the used vegetables but within the mud kitchen and assessing them to our compost tire.
📕Reading the book during every circle time and asking the children to recall key events.

And so many more!

When planning is centred around children’s interests, it helps them to gain the maximum benefit from each activity, as they are more engaged, motivated, and eager to participate. As a result, they are more likely to stay focused and give their full attention, as the activities reflect topics they really enjoy.

🌊🐠 Under the Sea! 🐙🦀

Last week our preschool children have been diving into their new topic, Under the Sea! We have been exploring amazing sea creatures, learning about ocean habitats, and enjoying lots of creative activities inspired by life beneath the waves.

The children have loved sharing their knowledge, creating beautiful artwork, and using their imaginations through stories, songs, and play.🐳🐠

This week in the Baby Room, we have been exploring the world of jungle animals! 🦁🐵 🐘

The babies enjoyed looking at colourful jungle animal books, listening to animal sounds, and joining in with interactive songs and rhymes such as “Down in the jungle”.🦁

Throughout the week, the babies have taken part in a variety of fun, sensory activities. They created animal-themed artwork using paint and different textures, explored jungle-themed sensory trays, and enjoyed messy play.

These experiences supported the children's communication and language development, creativity, sensory exploration, and understanding of the world, while encouraging lots of smiles, laughter, and curiosity.

🌊 World Ocean Day 🌊

Today our children celebrated World Ocean Day by learning how to help protect our oceans and sea animals. 🐠🐢🐙

Our preschoolers took part in a "Save the Sea Animals" activity, discussing ways to keep our oceans clean and safe for marine life.
While Our babies enjoyed a wonderful bubbly boat water play experience, exploring floating and splashing while developing their sensory and motor skills. 🚤🫧💙
