Nursery Rhyme Week in the Baby Room 🎶

This week our babies have been enjoying lots of fun and engaging activities as part of Nursery Rhyme Week! 🥰

From singing familiar nursery rhymes and exploring sensory tuff trays to joining in with actions and discovering new textures, the children have been learning through play while developing their communication, listening and social skills. 🐑

We have been busy exploring:

🐑 Baa Baa black sheep/Rainbow sheep 🌈
🥚 Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall 🧱
🧑‍🌾 Old MacDonald had a farm 🐷🐮
🎂 Five currant buns in bakers shop🩷

🐉 Knights, Dragons & Castles! 🏰✨

What a magical time we’ve had exploring our Knights, Dragons and Castles theme! 🐉🏰

Our little knights and princesses have been very busy washing the dragons after their adventures in the swamp 🫧💦🐲 — they certainly needed a good scrub!

We also used our connector bricks to build some fantastic dragon helpers 🤖🐉, encouraging lots of creativity, teamwork and problem-solving.

And of course, no dragon adventure would be complete without a dragon egg hunt! 🥚🐲🔎 The children had so much fun searching high and low to find all the hidden eggs.

Space Day 4 🚀

Today the children have been super creative 🎨🖌️

Space day three 👓 🌞

Today the children used solar eclipse glasses to safely observe the Sun and discover more about our closest star. It was fantastic to see their curiosity and excitement as they looked up at the sky and talked about what they could see. 👀🌞

The children have also been busy exploring an asteroid water play tuff tray and a counting activity throwing the asteroids in different numbered hoops💚

Space Day Two 🚀

Yesterday the children had to work together as team to build a rocket, during this they had to find suitable shapes for their creation. They also took part in a glueing and sticking activity 🌒

Last week in the Baby Room, we’ve been exploring the wonderful world of The Very Hungry Caterpillar! 🌿
The babies have been enjoying lots of fun, hands-on activities inspired by the story, from exploring colourful fruits and textures to getting creative with caterpillar-themed crafts. 🎨
