We’re recruiting: Catering Assistant

Are you customer-focused, enthusiastic and passionate about great food service? We’re looking for a Catering Assistant to join the Refectory team at Accrington & Rossendale College on a permanent, part-time basis.

You’ll support with food preparation, cooking and service, while helping to create a welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

• £14,579.96 salary (£25,747.35 FTE)
• 25 hours per week, 38 working weeks per year
• Permanent contract
• Workplace pension with generous employer contributions
• Generous annual leave
• Health and wellbeing support
• Free on-site parking

Our Level 1 Motor Vehicle learners recently headed to the British Motor Museum in Gaydon for an exciting day of induction activities, ice breakers and exploration.

They got the chance to discover how the motor industry has evolved, exploring everything from historic vehicles and technology to the latest innovations shaping the future of the industry.

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome our Plumbing students into our brand new, state-of-the-art workshop — and none of this would have been possible without the incredible generosity of McAlpine Plumbing Products! 🙌

McAlpine's outstanding donation has transformed our facilities, equipping our learners with the very best products and tools the industry has to offer. But they didn't stop there. Every single one of our students received a brand new t-shirt to wear with pride as they begin their journey in the workshop. It's a small gesture that means the world to our learners, giving them a real sense of belonging and professional identity from day one.

This kind of support is what makes a true difference in education. It's not just about the equipment. It's about investing in the next generation of skilled tradespeople and the future plumbers who will go on to build careers, support families, and make a lasting impact in their communities.
