Last chance for tickets for tomorrow nights disco
We can’t believe it’s almost end of term, with that in mind we always like to help the kids celebrate the year past. This year we will be throwing our annual Shorts and Shades disco for Nursery to P3 and P4-P6. Our fabulous P7s have their own leavers disco arranged by parents.
To but a ticket please head to this link, stating your child’s Name and class, so we can calculate numbers before the event.

🌱✨ A Huge Thank You! ✨🌱
What an incredible day of teamwork especially with such short notice 💚
A massive thank you to everyone who gave up their time today to help transform the school garden 💚 and apologise for the 12-3 timescale as I appreciate everyone spent much more time than that working hard 💪
A big shout out to Wee Jim Landscapes for his incredibly generous donation of topsoil and compost. Your support has been invaluable and has helped bring our vision to life. 🌿👏
It’s amazing to see what can be achieved when a great team comes together. The children will benefit from this wonderful space for years to come, and we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.
Thank you for helping us create something truly special!

The difference between a Parent, Teacher Association and a Parent Council is a PTA fundraiser to support the school but a PC supports the school, works in partnership with the teachers, local authority, parent forum, children and local community to help deliver education, health and wellbeing to our kids.
Over the years we, the Aboyne Primary School and Nursery Parent Council, have supported in the interview process of head teachers, funded the purchase of training for staff, materials and resources to deliver the curriculum to every pupil, and fundraised a significant amount of money to support the purchase of IT equipment.
Our support is needed more now than ever before. The local authority per capita budget is less than £9,000 (roughly less than £35 per child) for the year ahead. This means the school have approached us to help support with annual subscriptions, resources and equipment.
Last year we, the parent council, raised more than £15,000 - more than our schools annual budget - and without us our children wouldn’t have new materials, resources and literature, school trips, outdoor learning, pupil council resources, iPads and vital IT equipment.
The parent council plays a vital role. Our members often have full time jobs and do the work of the PC in their spare time, often working late into the night to organise large events, discos, dress down days etc.
With the news of this year’s budget set out by Aberdeenshire Council we need your support now more than ever.
Whether you can volunteer your time, share ideas, help at events, or simply attend meetings and support fundraising activities, every contribution makes a difference. Together, we can continue to provide the opportunities, experiences, and resources our children deserve.
