Today, a third of our year 7 students visited Warwick Castle as part of our core opportunities offer. This trip was run by our Humanities faculty.

The students were focussed, engaged, polite, and interested throughout the day. They enjoyed a range of activities, including seeing birds of prey in action.

The remaining year 7 students will be going to Warwick Castle over the next two days.

15 y11 girls were selected to attend this fantastic event at OAS, Culham.

The event was designed to inspire and motivate young women to continue studying science and to explore the wide range of careers available within STEM industries.

Students took part in interactive carousel activities led by leading employers and organisations, including Siemens, Williams Jet Tenders, UKAEA, Tokamak Energy, and Oxford Sigma.

Through these employer-led sessions, students gained first-hand insight into:
· How fusion energy could help tackle global climate challenges
· The different engineering disciplines involved in designing and building cutting-edge technology
· Career pathways in advanced manufacturing and high-tech industries
· The skills employers are looking for in future scientists, engineers, and technicians
· The diverse range of STEM roles available, many of which students may not have previously considered
· The experiences of women currently working in STEM careers

It was an excellent opportunity for students who enjoy science, technology, engineering, or maths and would benefit from meeting employers, hearing about real-world applications of their subjects, and exploring future study and career options.

An outstanding performance all round in this week’s U13 County Cup game against Oxford Spires. The girls went one-nil down in the first half but fought hard in the second and came away with a 3-1 win.

Congratulations to Lottie who was awarded POM, and a special shoutout to Macey for coaching the girls from the side.

We are so excited to see what this talented group of players can do in the next round!
