On Saturday 23rd May, members of the Abingdon community came together in a bike donation drive, to equip our new bike lending library. We were overwhelmed by people's generosity, and finished the day with nearly 30 bikes, in great condition and different sizes, checked over and serviced, ready to lend. This is a new initiative for us, designed to promote and support active and sustainable travel choices and support a reduction in school traffic in particular. We are extremely grateful to Abingdon Fire Station, Oxfordshire County Council, and Colin from Slime Cycleworks, for helping us to get started. Watch this space for details about the lending process!

Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh bronze students did superbly on their practice expedition this weekend. Despite rainy conditions, they navigated well and then honed their camping and cooking skills on the school site. Next up is the expedition in July!
