A compilation of our Yamaha students who performed their original pieces at last month's Young Composers Concert in our hall. It's great hearing each composer's storytelling!

Our Yamaha students are busy learning their ensembles for the annual summer concerts on 21 June. Here's our YMS graduate ensemble from last year's senior concert - an arrangement of the 2nd movement of Grieg's Piano Concerto with Martin Ludden at the piano.

Martin started his music with us aged 5, so it was an emotional time for parents and teachers alike! He is now coming to the end of his first year studying Oceanography at Southampton University.

Lots of our Yamaha music school students are taking their piano exams this week. Yili took hers on Monday - here's a clip of her practising last week. Good luck to those who have yet to take theirs!

Our Yamaha Music School courses foster musical sensitivity: we sing, play and - importantly - create. Every activity from the very beginning leads to the children making and performing their own music as well as expressing music that already exists. These children singing happily will soon finish their first book, having started in November last year. New classes starting soon - open day this Sunday - email us to book!
