While this beautiful refresh benefits everyone who uses the hall, we are deeply touched that our village preschool was kept at the very heart of the process.

​Our little athletes had the absolute best time cheering on the bigger children and taking part in their very own races.
There were so many smiles, impressive sprints, and brilliant moments of teamwork.

​We are so lucky to have such a supportive school community right on our doorstep. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and for a wonderfully organised, fun-filled day!

​We are absolutely blown away! A massive THANK YOU and a giant round of applause to Yiannis for completing an incredible 145km ultramarathon from London all the way back to Longwittenham Preschool.

​Yiannis pushed through the grueling heat of the day and the solitude of the night, on the go for full 24 hours to arrive back home just before 7:00 AM this morning. 🏃‍♂️💨🌙

​This monumental effort was all to raise funds for our preschool, and we couldn't be more grateful for his dedication, stamina, and community spirit.

​Tomorrow morning, one of our amazing preschool dads is taking on an absolute monster of a challenge for Long Wittenham Pre-School.
He’ll be running from Richmond, London, all the way back to the preschool in South Oxfordshire—a staggering 145 kilometres along the Thames Path.

​No aid stations, no crowds, and no sleep.

Just a backpack and a lot of determination to support the staff who give our little ones such a safe, patient, and engaging start to life.

​✨ The Goal: To keep our local charity preschool thriving.

📍 The Route: The Thames Path (Richmond to Long Wittenham).

⏰ The Timeline: Starting Saturday between 9am-10am - finishing (hopefully!) Sunday noon.

​We are so proud to have parents who go the extra mile (or 90 miles, in this case!) for our children. Please join us in wishing him the best of luck!

🦷 A "Filling" Morning of Fun at Busby House! 🪥
​What a rich learning experience our little ones had this week! We were thrilled to welcome the team from Busby House Dentist for a special educational visit that left everyone smiling (and showing off their pearly whites!).
​The children turned into mini-professionals as they explored the world of oral health. Here’s a look at our busy morning:
​🛠️ Tools of the Trade
​The dentists showed us their "superhero" gear, explaining what they wear to keep everyone safe and how their specialized tools help keep our smiles bright.
​🍎 Healthy Choices, Happy Teeth
​We put our thinking caps on for a sorting game! The children categorized different foods into "Healthy" and "Unhealthy" groups, learning that while some treats are okay in moderation, our teeth love crunchy veggies and water the most.
​❓ Junior Investigators
​Our curious learners prepared some fantastic questions for our guests:
​"How many teeth do you see a day?" (About 20 sets per dentist!)
​"How long should I brush for?" (2 minutes is the magic number! ⏱️)
​"Mint or Strawberry toothpaste?" (Mint was the winner today, though we might have to do some strawberry testing soon! 🍓)
​🪥 Practice Makes Perfect
​To wrap up the visit, everyone got hands-on experience using giant toothbrushes to clean our model teeth. We practiced reaching every surface and learned exactly how many strokes each tooth needs to stay healthy.
​A huge thank you to Busby House Dentist for such an engaging and informative visit! We are so proud of how well the children listened and participated.
​Remember: Brush for 2 minutes, twice a day! ✨
