Essential reading for a regulated profession! Teaching in Manchester this weekend included the normal academic and practical studies, but our pre-clinic students received hard copies of the new General Chiropractic Council Code of Practice - essential reading prior to the entering clinic. A signed copy from the Principal was seen as a bonus!

Manchester in the heat!
Manchester might be better known for its rain, but this weekend it was all about the sunshine!
Despite the soaring temperatures and travel disruption, our students came together for another weekend of academic learning and practical skills at our Manchester campus. Even our Principal joined in, with the usual dress code taking a well-deserved break to help everyone stay cool.
It wasn't all study either. The weekend included a Friday evening social, plenty of hydration breaks (taking inspiration from the Club World Cup), and, of course, everyone was keeping an eye on the football on Saturday night.
A huge thank you to our students and staff for making it another fantastic weekend, whatever the weather!

Chiropractic in Northern Ireland!
After teaching in Hong Kong and Abingdon, our Principal, Professor Christina Cunliffe, recently visited our Northern Ireland campus to deliver a session on the history of the chiropractic profession to our first year Master of Chiropractic students.
It was a fantastic weekend of learning, discussion, and collaboration, finishing with an interactive team challenge where students put their heads together to put their new knowledge into practice.
We're excited to see our first Northern Ireland cohort continue their journey into the profession.

Summer school in the summer sun! A hot, sunny and successful summer school has just been held in Abingdon bringing together our final year interns from Abingdon, Manchester and Madrid. The academic purpose of the summer school is to focus on multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary learning to bring together different approaches to patient focused healthcare, in the context of how that can be integrated with chiropractic care. A mix of invited speakers delivered seminar, interactive case study and practical studies encompassing animal chiropractic, paediatric care, nutrition, podiatry and physiotherapy including neuro and MSK. A full on few days but an amazing experience!

Hong Kong students attend Health Expo! Mctimoney College students attended the Chiropractic Doctors Association of Hong Kong stand as part of the Health Expo being held in Hong Kong. It was a great opportunity for them to get involved with the profession and also to talk to people about chiropractic and for example how it can help their posture and balance.
