Today Charlie Maynard MP for Witney visited our Witney campus to see first-hand the impact of our Access to Learning provision. 💙

Hosted by Vicky Donnelly and Jo Milsom, the visit included a tour of our Pathways classes, specialist facilities and wider Access to Learning programmes, where students shared their experiences of overcoming barriers, building confidence and preparing for their futures.

From supporting learners with EHCPs and autism to helping young people re-engage with education through Gateway and Fast Forward, the visit highlighted the importance of inclusive education and ensuring every learner has the opportunity to thrive.

☕💚 Pathways Students Raise £123.20 for Macmillan!

Our Living Independently students in our Pathways programme recently hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising an amazing £123.20 for Macmillan Cancer Support. 🎉

The event gave students the opportunity to plan, prepare and serve refreshments, helping them to develop valuable skills in communication, teamwork, customer service and money handling while supporting an incredible cause.

A huge well done to everyone involved, and thank you to all who came along to support and donate! 💚☕

Our Year 2 Design, Surveying and Planning T Level students recently returned to Beard to help welcome the next cohort of learners.

Charlie, Ellie-May and Josh shared their experiences of studying, industry placements and working in construction, offering valuable advice to Year 1 students as they begin their T Level journey. They were also recognised by Beard for their hard work and achievements during their first year. 🏆

A huge thank you to Beard for continuing to provide such fantastic opportunities for our students.

📦🎬 Unboxing Our Latest Media Tech

At Witney Campus, our T Level Media students have been unboxing and testing our new DJI Osmo Pocket cameras, exploring 4K video, auto-tracking and ultra slow-motion features.

This is just a glimpse of the industry-standard equipment our learners use as part of our Media, Broadcast and Production T Level, helping them develop professional skills for careers in the creative industries.

Our Level 2 Hairdressing students were in the salon mastering the famous Big Bouncy Blowout, while our Level 1 Hair and Beauty learners were developing their skincare skills with facial treatments in the salon.

Last week, our Horticulture apprentices headed to GroundsFest at Stoneleigh Park to explore the latest the industry has to offer 🌿

From outdoor demonstrations and industry education to meeting exhibitors and trying their luck at the games, it was a brilliant day out and a great opportunity to see the world of horticulture in action!

Raising awareness of global sanitation challenges, with fundraising already funding three toilets in communities without access to safe sanitation.
