Year 10 students spent the day in the Benedict Building, enjoying inspiring lessons, time in the Café and Common Room, a picnic lunch, and a Dragons’ Den challenge.
Thank you to our guest Dragons, Mr Chamberlain and Mr Nevard, and to our amazing Sixth Form students and staff for making the day such a success.

Our final bake sale of the year! The theme this time was tropical/beachy, and the sixth form baked to raise money for our charity - Long Covid Kids! Thanks to everyone who baked!

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Performance and Athletic Well-being to start in September 2026 or January 2027.

The post holder will be responsible for the planning and implementation of athletic development in the whole School PE curriculum to engage all students in movement skills and well-being. In addition to this, the promotion of performance with sport teams, sports scholars, groups and individuals is required to enhance the performance in sport throughout the School and support those who are working towards specific performance goals. This may also include delivering education programmes to teachers, coaches and students on the topics of athletic development and health in order to improve performance standards and raise the culture of high-performance sport at SHSK. This is concurrent with promoting participation and a positive activity culture to students working at all levels.

We’re hiring!

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic graduate to join our vibrant and successful PE department. The successful applicant will be willing to carry out a wide range of duties in support of the PE department and contribute to the provision of the extracurricular sports. It would be advantageous to be able to coach two of the major sports of football, netball, lacrosse, tennis, athletics and cricket.

Carnegie Book Challenge 2026

Our Year 7 and 8 students joined four other schools for the Carnegie Book Challenge 2026, reading, scripting and performing extracts inspired by this year’s shortlisted books. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate reading, creativity and collaboration while sharing ideas with students from across the region

What a fantastic evening at our Summer Concert, Sound Waves! From choir and orchestra performances to chamber ensembles and soloists, our students showcased an incredible range of musical talent. Thank you to everyone who performed and supported the event
