WE ARE HIRING
Positions available for Level 2 or 3 qualifieds.
In our open plan nursery setting we pride ourselves in ensuring that our little ones get the very best start in life through a mixture of play-based experiences, drawing on the voices of the children and more focussed adult led experiences all in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Our indoor and outdoor environments and activities are developed and enhanced around the needs of the individual children and we encourage childrens’ learning at their own pace with the support and guidance of our nursery team. Our staff love their roles and form strong bonds with all the children in their care and this is the key ingredient to our success. From day one we will work with our families to ensure our child’s happiness, confidence, skill and early independence are developed in readiness for the school years ahead.
We are very proud of our Duchess Nursery family community and would love to have the right candidate join out team.

Dragonflies have had lots of fun this week! We’ve welcomed a few new friends and are helping them to settle into the room. On Monday we explored Lunar New Year, which is the year of the tiger, through an orange and black tuff tray of pasta. We spoke about tigers and the colours we could see as well as the feel of the pasta. We’ve also really enjoyed exploring paint! One morning we helped to cover a table in paint and cling film to explore making marks through different textures. Another day we decided to take the cling film off and get very messy! We spoke about the different colours and how mixing colours together makes something different!

Dragonflies had lots of fun this week celebrating Christmas! The children had a special visit from Santa this week, and he even bought them a present each! We have done lots of different activities to help our development. We made melting snowman biscuits, using our senses and fine motor skills to explore the ingredients. We spoke about what snowmen look like and how they are made of snow. We have also made our own reindeers using paper plates, self selecting what utensils we would like to use and the colours. However, many of us much preferred to use our hands. We have also done lots of Christmas crafts, which you might find in our Christmas folders we have sent home. We have made our own salt dough Christmas tree decorations, self selecting our materials and colours and cutting the dough with cookie cutters. We have also had fun making, painting calendars and creating our Christmas cards! We hope you have a lovely Christmas and a happy new year from everyone in Dragonflies 🎅🏻
